When you actually look into Japanese Ramen, You will see that there is a vast variety of different ramen bowls. When I observed a tomato based ramen topped with chopped onions corn and cherry tomatoes I realized As a foreigner I was only creating limits when ramen is meant to resemble the home you came from. To call it traditional is from our point of view when really the possibilities are endless.
Well, you're correct about a vast variety, and like any food, there are base flavors that make ramen, ramen such as fish-based dashi to flavoring (niboshi to katsuobushi, soy sauce, to pork and chicken stock). As for toppings, tomato is a natural producer of glutamates, and corn was to promote the Tohoku region which produces corn). So there are national traditions of what makes Japanese ramen which was originally from China, and regional styles (Sapporo, Hakata, Tokyo, to Kitakata), but even the noodles used by most American companies saying they use ramen, are not really ramen noodles (it's more like chicken noodle soup noodles).... they're just out to make a buck.
@@lowrydin Organs are weird for me too but you can blend the marrow into the broth using the back of a spoon into the pot while its boiling. That way the flavor stays and its not a goop
This is phenomenal! Thank you so much for sharing this awesome idea with us chef. Much love from Wisconsin; hope to get back to San Diego to enjoy your food soon!
Me gusta como haces claro que no tiene nada de tradicional. Pero sin falta veremos en los comentarios gente que dira que esto es un sacrilegio. Se ve bien.
Nice, a fellow San Diegan! Should've gone to Mitsuwa or Marukai to get your ramen noodles instead of using instant noodles. I make this all the time whenever I have leftover birria. Pozole with ramen is another delicious combination. 💯
I find it funny how these are probably the people that talk about cultural appropriation and white washing, yet shes wearing a sweatshirt with a white Biggie on it..
"These are probably the people" says Tyler, that's the reason why there is unjustified killings like the ones recently guys they were "probably" guilty.
Looks really really good, i guess this taste awesome. But i wouldn't use this great broth for cup noodles. Except of this part, i'm gonna cook with this recipe. Greetings from germany.
It does! Whenever I have leftover pozole, I combine it with some ramen noodles. I recommend going to a Japanese market to buy the ramen noodles instead of using instant noodles. So delicious! 💯
Looks good, but I don't understand why you have to be so careful separating the vegetables from the water when you blend them because you just dumped it all back in the pot at the same time.

Please don't encourage her!
I love that she used shanks, use what you got, the bone marrow is definitely the best part 😋
I’m from Louisiana we prefer all meats bone in, if possible
Oh yeah! :)
I see you know how to live

I love the fact that she fused Mexican and Japanese!
You thought we wouldn't notice the pressure cooker swap... But we did. 😏

If you need additional help, let me know. My vlog is concentrated on the LA food scene.
Yum! Claudette needs her own show.

I love that there are people out there just straight up making this all the time. Greetings from Ireland.

SNOWTORIOUS has to be white like snow or else there is no joke Ty.

I’d pay for that any day nothing better than fusion food that was fused by things you love!!!!
Hot damn this mashup of culture blew my god damn mind!

Greetings from germany.
Y’all in the comments gave the girl a hard time when she made posole, don’t think we forgot😤
Thats because you're not legally allowed to fuck with posole.
The abuelas will not stand for it.
I’ve tried her food and wasn’t the best...
@@alligatormonday6365 you can’t even properly spell “pozole” and you’re getting all high and might. Bien ahí.
Wow definitely reminds me of the Chinese beef noodle soup. Looks bomb
I love Chinese beef noodle soup! I even have a video of it!
All the best fusion dishes are Mexican + Asian
The recipe that is linked is different than the video. Is there a recipe for this specific birria ramen?
I would eat that!
YUMMMM
Probably taste good with the pozole too 🥺

Idk bout you but that look good
Tasty 😋
I always stop looking cooking shows when there is something I can't make
Finally the porsche ad is gone!!!!!
Is there a dating site with chefs like her on it?
thirsty
I know I'm not the only one wondering where she got that bowl! 🧐🧐
Bro, I wanna eat this while im high
Looks good, but I don't understand why you have to be so careful separating the vegetables from the water when you blend them because you just dumped it all back in the pot at the same time.
I remember her from Top Chef!
OOh!......... yeah !!!!
That dish is originally from #birria la mera mera
all that hard work ruined by a shrimp cup noddles
Leche NIDO you mix that with agua
Seems like a lot of effort to at the last step, use instant ramen noodz
I want
Me hungry
Wait what restaurant she work at so I can drop by or order out kuz it’s bout to be bomb
This is what Filipinos and Mexicans do to their cup noodles leftovers into the noodles all day
What's with that bowl though LOL
Fuck that’s good
I’ve actually tasted her food where she works. It was a holiday event. She made tamales and other dishes. I’m gonna honest. It wasn’t the best...
Our expectations were low lmao
Nồi mì ngon quá ak
FYI there is now a Tapatio brand ramen cup out there. GLOBALIZATION.
😋😋😋👏👏👏
The meal looks good, but I wouldn't want to eat it out of a bedpan.
I love this. and in the words, for the hodgetwins "eat whatever the F#@%#$%#$....You wanna EAT!"
But if someone added cheese to avocado y’all would be crying
Needed a wifey like this 😂
Everybody started copying this trend after this video came out
Why spend the time making birria to combine with cup o noodles?! ☹️
Because it's upgraded ramen lol
now do Pho-nudo
is that instant noodle?
i swear i heard her say her name was clala zip-a-dee-doo-dah
Dave Chappelle: "Zip it up and zip it out!"
Dave's lawyer: "A-A-Alright zip-a-dee-doo-dah bye bye"
