Agree with most of your comment. However, "Cameron has grown into his vocals", such a backhanded compliment. Robert Plant was 20 when Led Zeppelin 1 released, wonder if he had to deal with patronizing comments too
@@JeckyTwang I mean I didn't mean it as a backhanded compliment or patronizing and I think most would agree it doesn't come off that way. I think the consensus among the band as I've heard from a multitude of interviews, the most recent being their live stream from rolling stone, is that Projector was basically a senior project and they have really expanded their sound and how they play, and vocals are included in that. Comparing the vocal inflections, confidence and delivery from these new songs and the stuff on Projector, the clear difference is big, so I think I was being pretty direct in my compliment to this song.
Maybe if the genre wasn't so preoccupied with spinning the same 20 acts since the 80s and dismissing everything that isn't mimicking those, it would actually let new artists get big. There's probably more amazing musicians and songwriters alive now than ever before, especially with knowledge being so easily shared.
Boomers get mad that music sucks now but in a way I understand because we do live in a world now where exciting, innovative art actually requires some research to find. It’s a shame but that’s capitalism for you bb.

Ok, I know I've said this before here, but this video is incredible. Every time I watch it I find new details, the story telling is superb and so is the composition of so many shots just on their own but also in relation to the storytelling. Love this song, but also this is spectacular video.

@@andrewdurand3181 look at the opening shot of the woman in the video, how the v of the mountains forces your gaze to settle on her, or how she's walking back to the car at 0:13 and her companion is closing the trunk subtly foreshadowing what's gonna happen later, or how she's feeding him an apple at 0:52 (maybe reading too much into it, but seems like a biblical reference, of the woman tempting the man, so speaks to their relationship), or the foot coming down the stairs at 2:52 as a transition for the male companion coming into the shot, or how the camera pulls back from the two women's reflection to their faces. It's just very well shot video. The tone definitely didn't match the song, or at least it's not what you'd expect, but it's very well done and lots of subtle things going on that I appreciate.

I love this band I just discovered ten minutes ago. Thank you Rolling Stone. I get a lot of Grateful Dead feeling out of this and 3D Country. Is it just me?
i love grateful dead but i dont hear anything remotely resembling them. everything about geese to me screams a sort of zappa rolling stones fusion with original stuff mixed in.

Wow. The band has developed since Projector, and so has the production. Love the percussion overdubs. Nice.
Whole song is great, but man that intro riff is amazing
Here from Larry King, HELL YEA🤠
Same lmfao

What video?
Sameeee!
I've listened to this song like a hundred thousand times since release. I loved Projector and I'm super excited for this new era of Geese :)
Rolling Geese Stones !! Love it !!
Now that you mentioned it now I can’t unhear it!! 😂😂
That’s why I’m here! In a Heart video comments section someone recommended them and said they are similar to the stones.
The point from 1:37 where it almost becomes psychedelic is probably my favorite part of any song I've ever heard
Me too!
Levitating segment
The moment I saw the guitar and the singer guys in Larry video I knew they would be tuff. I’m NOT disappointed 😮💨🔥🔥
1:38 - Oh, Elizabeth Moss, come on in! The party is just getting started. So glad you could make it
this makes me so happy! amazing how much the band has developed in a year. and the video is... sick.
So rock isn’t dead then. It just doesn’t get played anymore. These guys should be huge
It never was dead and It does get played Jesus Christ it's not that deep lil bro 😂

a masterpiece i fear
This song has made me so excited about rock for the first time in a while.. Thank y'awl
for the guitarists out there I think its in A and the opening riff is messing with the 9th and 11th fret hammering on while playing bass notes open

Geese is the future
Still can't get enough of this song :)
This song feels so timeless. I love it.
The "ch-k-ch-k-ch-" part is reminding me so much of some other song (by another band) but can't put my finger on it! Any ideas??
A lot of NY punk/indie uses these weird kinda little vocal things. Lou Reed from the Velvet Underground started it so maybe that?
breathtaking
This took me by surprise. Luv it.
