When I saw that last scene taking place at the beach I half-expected a moment where Jack would see the destroyed piece at the distance and go "You maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!" :p Very nice work overall!
That is really sweet Jack and his dad having a little mystery science theater 3000 riffing time. All they need is 18 and someone to fill-in for Tom servo and then they got a whole cast.
Great video , sorry I couldn’t be at the premiere , but I’m glad I finally got to this video , it’s made my day slightly better and has me excited for what’s next.
Loved this video! It’s kind of a shame that we don’t really get practical effects in kong movies or really giant monster movies in general anymore, with most of today’s modern film effects being cgi and all. The 1976 King Kong definitely had some of the best practical effects and even though King Kong lives isn’t as good as the effects done by Rick Baker, they are still good effects in their own rights.
I can’t wait to return in Italy to visit Torino’s Cinema Museum (Torino and Toronto, just hear here 😏). I’m proud to say Dino’s two Kong are the first two Kong movie i watched in my life, apart from Disney’s Joe Young, that was the my very first giant ape movie. I utterly love these movies. ❤️ P.S. No wonder this isn’t the last Kong review. We must make 100 first!
Hey Jack, I hear the kings gauntlet kinda like the monkeys paw grant he wishes but you have to hold it. I think there’s something else involved but I forgot how that story went. Maybe you shouldn’t make wishes on it until I remember the story.
It seems to make no sense, not to use any of the Gorilla props seen in the 1st film, in the sequel again the quality is as good apparently better for the animatronics. I thank you for your interest in all this very rare stuff about the 2 70s films, that most don't bother with, ironically, you remind me of Jack Black (although your comedy act hasnt been perfected yet I'd say)
