Skater XL is definitely way too low. SkaterXL and skate 3 are probably the best and closest to "realistic feel" of skating than any game imo. Sure it's a game and you can do unrealistic stuff, feel wise though, mechanics actually resemble how you would use your lower body to skate. Just my opinion though.
Ok so imma comment on some of these. I know they're based on a public ranking from like, Metacritic and such. First, Simpsons Skateboard is too low on the list it comparison to some like Tony Hawk Motion and that is a crime to me. 2nd, you missed a port with Skate Attack, which i dont blame you for. There's the original PS2 game, THEN there's the PSP port which is called Skate Park City, and THEN the Wii port called Skate City Heroes. It's stupid, i know. Also, 2:16 i know Atari is old as hell, but i don't think Atari even existed back in 1897 bro XD Some of these picks kinda shocked me, like Backyard Skateboarding being so high up, or Extremely Goofy Skateboarding not being in the bottom area in the ranks. Im surprised by how high their scores are, cause i dont really feel like they deserve those spots heh. Some games that are below em deserve to be ranked higher, like Thrasher and Evo Skateboarding (like come on, Evo Skateboarding is a MUCH better game with its engine and such than ESPN X Games Skateboarding...). Hell, The Ramp is a super small chill game with barely much going for itself that basically recently came out, and somehow its better than THP8, Skate 3 and OlliOlli? That's a hell of a take with these scores... Also, not a shock that the final 6 of the best are ALL Tony Hawk games, and that the top 3 involves the classic Pro Skater series from 2, 3 and 4. Personally, THPS1 is too high, its a classic, but its not lived up well enough to be top 5, THPS1+2 would deserve that 4th spot over THPS1. I also feel like most of the mobile skating games, like Tony Hawk Skate Jam, would be pretty far low on the list, whereas some Arcade games like Top Skater or Ollie King would be at least in the middle to close to top 25. Also, a bit shocked to not see the Skateboarding Tycoon games or Skateboard Madness Xtreme Edition on here... then again, those would also be fairly low on the list too, especially SMXE, so thats alright. A nice list here, all things considered. Happy to see my footage show up with it all.
