I also wish ink tense came out with lighter colors they are absolutely beautiful but are in need of lighter shades. But I love my neos!! They are amazing! Love your color pallet on this picture!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
I wish Derwent had made different choices with the Inktense expansion. They are in desperate need of lighter colors, and they already had too many similar shades as it was. Especially since I use them mostly with alcohol instead of water, which means they don't spread out as much, I'm constantly wishing for beige, cream, light greys, and pastel shades of every hue when I use them. I've considered mixing them with my Albrecht Durers (or Supracolors which have even more pastels), I use Prismas to fill the gaps in my Polychromos set...but being watercolor vs ink they simply don't pack the same punch and can't keep up when it comes to vibrancy, and the texture is different when activated. They don't mix well (wet, dry on top obviously they are fine). I like my AD's don't get me wrong, they are my favorite watercolor pencil, but they are not a 1 for 1 substitute. Prisma is not a 1 for 1 substitute for Polys either either, but they hold their own in vibrancy and the difference in opacity is actually a pro when added to the lighter shades for highlights. There really isn't a good addition in pastel tones for the Inktense, they are one of the truly unique products on the market.
Is the paper in this book like the Hannah Karlzon's green hard cover books? I don't get all the rave about her books. Her illustrations are gorgeous, but I hate the thin, smooth paper 😢

If you use the white, you get tints(pastels)

Beautiful background colours. What sharpener do you use for your neocolors :)
