I would recommend that this should be the very first tool any aspiring woodworker should buy. I wouldn't want to work without it.

We could not agree more, Jack! But seriously, safety is our mission.

Q: I’m trying to use the Kobalt router table as a jointer, with the GRR-200 ripper, for safety and stability. I have a straight bit 1-1/2” tall in the router. I need to push the stock flush against the fence along with the Ripper, but it has to ride above the 1-1/2” tall bit, so it doesn’t get chewed out. How do I raise the ripper so it rides flush against the fence but above the bit, without using a sacrificial board? Thanks. GRR-200 is an awesome accessory.

Set the Adjustable Spacer on the fence side of your GR-200, with the green part UP, and raise the Adjustable Spacer as far as possible. This will give you a gap about 3/8" tall and 1" wide above the stock for the GR-200 to pass the bit without cutting into it. See #3 in this video: th-cam.com/video/8fMamibyp2k/w-d-xo.html

I'm confused at 3:05. The bit is spinning counter clockwise, INTO the fence. It won't be pulling the piece away as stated. It will be pushing it in to the fence.

The cutting edge does disappear into the fence on the infeed side, so that needs to be supported to prevent tear out, but that cut starts as the cutting edge emerges from behind the fence on the outfeed side. There certainly is a tendency for the bit to push the part away from the fence in this type of cut.

Product is great but MJ's customer service sucks! Ordered a 100 directly from MJ three weeks ago. Order confirmed in a return e-mail. Several calls to the CS department goes to VM with no return call or a ship date. Cancelled my order and will likely buy from another brand that values their customers
