    My husband helped me to do my reflectix- omg! What a chore. I tried using paper for patterns n then tracing that onto the reflectix good grief! They dont fit quite right.
    You did a great job! I am so happy for you!🎉success!
    I like how you say things that people really say when doing these projects!

      I made my coverings over two years ago. I'm going to get the weathertech soon. I almost have enough saved up. Mine have held up pretty well though. I can't keep replacing them though after one goes bad. They are a pain. And then sewing the black fabric on. Geez!!! My mom did help me with mine. She's the sewing expert. 💙(and thank you!!!!)

    Great idea I would’ve never thought to use magnetic surfaces . And it’s a good use of the window space ❤

    I love all your ideas. Also, how you accomplish so much in that small CRV to make it all so organized, and make it all work so well for you! I can’t believe you were using that sander 🫣I was so worried you were gonna scratch your legs up!!! Yikes girl!! Enjoyed this, can’t wait to see the finished product and what else you’ve gotten! Love ya! 💕

    I thought of doing this using black corrugated board and adding netting or cloth so I can utilize the window space for storage. I've seen some videos of others using wood like you are and using them for other things too. Great idea there.

    • @OutonaLimbwithKym
      @OutonaLimbwithKym  ปีที่แล้ว

      The original idea came from Eric the Designer. I made my own changes. Easier my way!!! I like the netting idea a lot.

    I have weather tech but have I still have to tape them to the small windows. Had to do the same for the rave4 we use to have. Interested to see how this works out for you. Really interested to see the spice idea, lol. Hopefully, that doesn’t cause the window to crack. You are a hard worker bee.

      My DIY ones have held up very well. They are just starting to give me problems. I had to replace the back one a few months ago. I'm done with them. I will get the weathertech ones and just not use them in the baby windows. I like mine better. Thanks for watching and comment. I appreciate it!!!!

    I know Kym just went to a lot of trouble, sorry Kym, but I’m gonna say it for the rest: I recommend the WeatherTech shades if you can afford them, and just be done with it. They’re very nice and fit well. They’re also not heavy, and they don’t crinkle-crackle too much.

    • @OutonaLimbwithKym
      @OutonaLimbwithKym  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's okay. Sometimes I need to be set straight. :-) - actually, I've been saving up for them. I'm almost there!!!! But the tiny windows in the back of my SUV are just so adorable and I really wanted to make better use of them. Wait till you see what I did. It's cool! Maybe on the same level as a kindergarten project, but hey . . . I really like them! (thanks)

      @@OutonaLimbwithKym I admire your efforts. I actually purchased two Reflectix style self-sticking rolls of padded insulation @ $60 each; one 4x8 sheet of corrugated plastic; and Walmart blackout curtains for cover material. I used extra large heavy duty Christmas wrapping paper for the template. I made ONE small window and said I’m not doing another! What a pain. I’m mad at myself for wasting the money, so I just wanted to warn folks to learn from my mistake. Doing these DIY windows is a tedious, time consuming job.
