That is awesome! Thank you for sharing your story. Star Wars will always be special to me for that reason, it reminds us of our childhood and on top of that when we can share it with our loved ones, it gets to live on! Glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for the commenting.
TVC 2.0 is better than BS! I have all of them except R2 & the new stormie! Idk why he is so difficult to acquire? I actually missed out on the last 2 - 3 3.75" R2's. Even the the 3.75" BS R2 with the rocket boosters, I just could not find him! On another note, I did manage to find that Droids Boba on Target shelf with a warped card back.
Best part of Vader is the paint of the face. There's two panels on the face (top of right cheekbone & left cheek) that are painted a silver to give the illusion of added dimension when looking at the face from different angles. On a figure this small, an all-black helmet face won't reflect like a full-sized helmet face would, so this was a perfect solution!
43:46 - new hips would make it ideal. The twist and fold hips suck so much, the new bar bell hips are the much needed addition to the stormies. We are so close to perfection. So like 96 percent
Awesome top 10 star wars figures collection great video has always keep collecting and may the force be with you all star wars fans the force is strong with this one 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I'm a Vader junkie, so yeah, I agree on the top pick. Also while the new movies are a nightmare, Andor season 1 has been one of the best entries to SW.
Watched the whole thing 🔥, I mostly collect black series but I have almost all the figures that you guys listed in the top ten, I could not resist the greatness that the VC brings to Star Wars
Some of these I am only just picking up now, getting back into TVC. Vader is excellent, the Tatooine Fett is stellar and Fennec Shand is also great. Just picked up the Ahsoka this week. Great video, looking forward to seeing your picks for 2023.
More articulation is alway's better. Quality of plastic is very important. Sculpt is also extremely important. I would pay a little more for more heads with different expressions.
Yes: the Dark Times Vader has already disappeared from the pegs. Found it three months ago in the wild at Gamestop Canada and this one started my new Star Wars shelf. Since then, I have not seen it except for Obi-Wan, Reva, Anakin and other secondary characters from The Mandalorian. Maybe some Troopers as well but that's it. After that, I did get the carded Corvus Ahsoka, Bo-Katan, Mandalore Maul & Ahsoka, all of them at a hobby store for regular pricing. I did get some TBS but I'll stick to TVC from now on since there's more to do with the TVC... We'll see. I kept the cardbacks, of course. But that Vader is indeed perfect.
$46.99!!!😳That IS disgusting. I picked up deluxe boba fett for £12.95 (I'm in Scotland) $47 dollars is about £38-£39 here!!! Thats even more expensive than the black series deluxe figures🤷♂️ I have the dark times vader too and its even better than boba. Good vid lads👍😎
Hi nice video, I collect only figures from the original Star Wars trilogy. Most of these I wasn’t able to get because of the insane prices in Canada. I got Lobot because I got him on clearance for 8.99. Who can army build with figures like these when average cost is 40 for deluxe figures and 25 for single carded figures. If you don’t grab what you want, the product becomes unavailable, and scalpers are outrageous, retail is outrageous. Sometimes when I watch videos like this I can’t help feel a little envious and bitter. Don’t get me wrong I am happy for you and your collections. I appreciate your videos.I just have to be happy with what I have, and I am buying less each year. It saddens me, I have been collecting since I was 14 and will shortly be 60yrs of age,
Yes, the Hobby is getting expensive. I wonder sometimes about the cost myself and have to pick and choose at times. Sometimes it's best to wait for a sale but then like you said, we may not get the figure at all if they sell out. On a positive note there are a number of great online sites that vary with sales on figures at times and then you can purchase some things you wouldn't at regular price. Just have to check on a regular basis and usually you can find what you want online.
Excellent choices 👌 so many great figures last year it's hard to choose your favourites, really enjoyed your videos over the last year or so , thanks and keep up the great work 👍🙂
I found them from a dealer at a Toy Expo last year. He had them for both Modern and Vintage figures (Clear stands) Here is the website: 4thmoontoys.com
About the dark trooper, tvc had to wait 2 yrs for it, while the black series got it a yr earlier. What the hell is Hasbro doing? Why does black series get all the cool new figures first?
I Agree! It is strange at times why it's done. I feel that if they released them at the same time the 3.75 might sell better and the 6" one would have trouble. By releasing them this way, some people (weak on holding back like me) would buy both even when the 6" one comes first.
Why do some collectors keep them carded I do no they like to keep them carded because of the art work but keep them carded is a waste of money definitely if you just keep them carded and don’t do nothing with them
Keeping them carded is all Nostalgia! Just remembering being in the Toy aisle as a kid is what drives me to keep carded versions. Don't get me wrong, I also love to open everything as well! ;)
I own around 800 TVC figures and have never opened one !! 50 YO from Australia , collected them from 78 to 84. Opened every one of them straight away as a kid in the 80s and threw away the Cardbacks..... They look better still in bubble on Cardback........ If I ever sell them , they will sell for a lot more than just loose ..... Peace 🐸
I am a single dad that has raised two sons on my own and Star Wars is big in our lives as well. Enjoyed this video, thank you.

Thank you for that in depth comment. You described it very well! It's amazing to see what can be done with today tech.
The little piece on the Airborne Mandolorian is called a, "Range Finder".
One of my dream is to have a convo/show like this when my kids grow up. We are ramping up on Star Wars now as younglings. Good job!
I'm sure you will!

Thanks for the reply. Yes, Andor was really good. Speaking of Vader... Hasbro announced a new ROTJ version.. it looks great.

Great review from the both of you, fun to watch! Thanks :)
Glad you enjoyed it! We had a blast recording it.
Was expecting to hear a squeaky little kids voice, but heard an adult haha :D
Ha ha! Great reply!
I didn't do a top 10 Vintage Collection, but I can tell you 1. Darth Vader, 2. Reva, 3. Boba Tatooine, 4. Fennec Shand, 5.Asohka
Nice list. There were a lot of great figures in 2022. It was so hard to choose.
Where do you buy those figure stands? I want to display my collection and I don't want them to fall over
