Also another one you guys didn’t mention that I would’ve expected to be on here was Padawan Obi-Wan. He’s been creeping up there in value.

I remember the guy behind me pushing past me in the aisle to get the only Carbonized Mando, and I was like, well, i still want Mando, so i guess i will take the white box one. The best part is that I am mostly an in-box collector 😂. That is one of my favorite pieces now. Side note I did track down that Carbonized a few weeks after. Thank you both for the great video!
Loved watching this video guys, thanks! Got a lucky break a few weeks ago: found the #10 on this list, Hunter, mint in box for 25USD. The seller probably didn't know it's value. Couldn't help myself so I bought the rest of the crew + Imperial Crosshair through various resellers who had them on discount. In total I paid 98USD (including shipping) for all 5 figures.
IMO I think this ep lowkey showed us how the Archive line was useless most of the time. It was supposed to offset the problems of aftermarket prices and hard to find figures. But it really didn’t do a whole lot of good (maybe only a little, it did give us Bossk and Revan again).
I have about 4 or 5 of those red box Rex’s just sitting around in a storage bin. I remember GameStop back in the day having them on discount for $7.99 or thereabouts and couldn’t get rid of them. I bought 3 one day while shopping for a video game. Crazy how at the time peg warmers and deeply discounted figs can turn into $110 stuff. I even have a couple of the Disney exclusive blue box Rex’s buried away somewhere. Come to think of it, I have a mint in box of every single one of these in the top 10. Crazy.
I know Bad Batch Rex gets a lot of well deserved criticism, but after I swapped the pauldron and kama it immediately became my favorite of the two Rex figures. It goes great with the "custom" Umbara boys from Veils and there's just something about the combo of macros and rangefinder that I really love the look of.
Just finding 6 of the most expensive BS figure at Ross for 2.99 is a highlight in my collecting adventures over the years 😅 There are so many bad action figures on the list that it's crazy but the representation of charachter always outweighs the quality, and this list adds to that theory. I know Palps and his thrown is up there too but was excluded because he is a deluxe. Fun FIO episode, guys. Also lmao at the blunder figure mention. I broke mine down to use for custom pieces and parts...thats how good of a fig he is

One of the first Black Series figures I ever bought was Captain Rex, that I paid $7.99 for at Ollie's. If only I knew then what I know now! I'd have bought at least one extra to keep in box.
I found the regular Cara Dune to be very expensive when I went looking for her. Luckily for me, the Credit Collection one was cheaper so I got her and repainted her to match pics of her actual costume. Not sure I could be tempted by a Rex, praying for a modern update. I couldn't see myself paying over £100 for one figure.

My Fox arrived (as advertized) without box and (new to me, thanks austrian mail service...) with a cracked visor piece. I did not care - i paid 25 Euro. Like. 2 years ago. One of my happiest finds. I had to cobble my Rex together out of a Bad Batch Rex (boo, hiss) and an Aliexpress bootleg. I'm mostly happy with the result but i'm incredibly annoyed that he was never re-released; i made it on the Big Bad Toy Store preorder list and it just never came out -.-' I'm surprised - where's Cara Dune in this list? The Credits Collection version is easy to find (I paid 25 bucks for mine and i'm super happy :D ) but the regular one.... sheeeesh. Did i miss any disqualifiers at the beginning? Was she an exclusive or something?
Yeah that Hunter/Crosshair wave came and went in the US it seems like. Cara Dune averages for just under $60 here in the US. It'd probably make the Top 20. -Justin
huh. I sort my Ebay by continental Europe, shipping from the US... good lord... i never see a mainline Cara Dune for below 150. (Credit Collection tends to sit around 75 here) Amazing sculpt in my book; gun's a bit gummy.
I think there's a pattern: whichever character is popular or desirable will be worth it... even if the figure is really bad at first sight objectively. I do have some remarks: What surprises me is Revan not being this high after checking the page, both the first release and Archive for the 50th of Lucasfilm, because of Malak and Bastila being out last year. He's needed to complete what is essentially the triumvirate of KotOR. As for Vader and I can't help it since I've grown up loving the character since 1998-1999 on the VHS non-special edition release, they all went down following ROTJ40 and Duel's End (THE most expensive Vader in the line thus far). Even if I'm critical of it and rightfully so, I'm happy I got the ROTJ40 Vader twice since I can't trust Hasbro putting this release in Galaxy Mural Packaging due to their obsession with the ANH upperbody buck for the past seven years (c'mon Hasbro moments). Also, TVC DS2 Vader is less expensive on average than TBS but it's a matter of time before the scales are balanced on that front as well. 😛 There are more serious subjects for sure but that's for another time.
Oh for sure! Character desirability is the driving factor for a lot of these on this list...because most of them aren't really good figures. I am pretty sure they'll end up putting that 40th ROTJ Vader in ROTJ galaxy packaging. They have done that for every 40th anniversary figure so far I believe. -Justin
When Darth Nihilus was released I ordered him and maybe the purge trooper but they ended up sending me 3 Nihilus' and no trooper but gamestop eventually sent me the trooper as well and told me to keep the extra figures, only time something like that happened to me
Have great in-person hunting memories tracking some of these down! Rex at Ross for $3 and 0-0-0 at Best Buy for $7 were probably the highlights, but finally finding that Obi-Wan at Walgreens was like a dream come true. I prefer the consistency these days as pre-orders are far more reliable (and less of a race to get a figure ordered in the first few minutes), but another part of me really misses the in-person scores of 2017-2019.
There was nothing more fun than going on a black series in person hunt. I’ll never forget how excited I was to find an obi wan at Walgreens in the middle of nowehere Ok once.
I still can’t believe that I had some of these in my hand at several points and never pulled the trigger ! Especially droids and Aphra - but Rex and Leia! Man there’s just no way I want to drop that much when a remake could potentially be around any corner-
The white box mando I had in hand and Target refused to sell it to me because they had put them out 2 days early! I’ll never forget that Target! Not even a hold for me !

I feel very fortunate to have all of these except for Slave Leia, 2D CW Obi-Wan, 000, 1st edition Mando (but I have the reg release), and #59 Rex (but I have the HasCon exclusive). Holy smokes! I just recently paid over $80 for Asajj Ventress on Amazon. That figure was in the low to mid $70’s for the longest. The rise in that figure and all of sudden both Clone Wars Ahsoka with the Blue Lightsabers, and the Padawan Ahsoka with the Green Lightsabers… I just knew Asajj would crack the top 10. I also thought Plo Kloon and Qui-Gon Jinn would’ve been on here too. I need to find somewhere to get these figures cheaper, because Amazon is the only place I trust to actually fulfill the with no shenanigans. Enjoyed the video!

I paid $160 for Capt. Rex on Amazon... and then I also got the BAD BATCH version, for $25. I also paid about $75 for CARA DUNE (she was the first one I got... out of over 100).
I'm surprised Cara Dune dropped off the list. Overall the list hasn't changed TOO much but Dune had been on top lists before. I'm hoping BT gets a re-issue on the new astromech body, maybe 2-pack with 000. I'm also hoping to get better Clone Wars Obi-Wan and for the Anakin re-tool (put it in the Ahsoka wave, I don't care) I only own the D+ show Obi-Wan. I'm looking forward to TPM Maul coming up. The only Anakin i have is the Force Spirit. Of this list i don't own any Clone Commanders and I'm trying not to get into them unless i can get them all... I have Wolf, and i did get Jesse and Fives, so i have some Troopers but Fox and Rex making the shelf incomplete, I remember Gree was on some lists a few years ago, I'm just tring to avoid Commanders until they do get re-issued in some way (c'mon Hasbro, like your going to lose money on Rex) Of this list i own Leia, Hunter (walked into a collector store, paid slightly more than retail) Nihilus (walked into a Gamestop one day, found him) and Clone Commander Obi-Wan... which was one of my first Black Series. I actually found 3 of them at a Walgreens when I started collecting, and they hung out there for a bit. I got to choose which had the better face cus they all had a strong rosey-cheek look...They had the silver leg 3PO (also scored), and Keenan that i recall. i haven't found anything good at that location since. Nihilus, CC Obi-Wan and the archive 501st are some of the most frustrating figures i own because i can't do anything with them.

Everytime I see the price of the Archive ROTS Anakin, I sort of regret not having the clairvoyance to buy the 2 pegs full that my local Walmart had the January following the year he came out for 11 bucks a piece 😕....and on a separate Rex related note I still have a boxed Rex literally because it was $5 at 5Below, and I also randomly found a Bad Batch Rex randomly at a MACYS in Atlanta that they rang up for $8 as a random iten because obviously it wasn't in their system
I think the list matches what we see in the Netherlands...with the difference that the figures are way more expensive over here. Triple zero and Anakin Archive go for around €120. I would have expected IG-88 blue line to be in the list. On this side of the pond the price of him is close to Triple zero.

I have 3 of those on the list Hunter, which managed to get him for $30, but for Fox, i paid 80 due to shipping, and i got the Hascon Rex and dear lord paying 115 for him was brutal.
I remember for that triple force friday i saw a ton of those ehite box Mando's all over the place and didn't think anything of it. I did get one and kept him sealed because I had the black box one, but I sold the white box a couple years back for $150 which was cool lol

I read the Vader comics where 000, BT, and Aphra were introduced and loved these characters. I NEVER saw this wave. I would have gotten them had I seen them. Very disappointing they haven't been Archived.

Hasbro desperately needs to do an archive of Rex. I have that lousy Bad Batch version, just because I wanted him represented on my shelf, but I'd snag a straight up reissue of the original figure in a heartbeat

ActionFigure411 has the average value for $147.31 but honestly...not worth that price. It doesn't have photo-real. I'd track down the regular release #59 which does have photo-real. -Justin
honestly surprised Hunter is on the list, I bought 11 or 12 of them as bases for some resin conversion kits I was printing when it released. I still have a couple of them somewhere I think I only ended up using 4 or 5 of them.
I’m rich! I have all those figgies. I have two Captain Rex figures. Maybe three. I have one whom I’ve never put the helmet on to scratch the paint. One which didn’t have the best likeness always has the helmet on. I do like my Clone Commanders. Actually I like all my named Clone figures. Shoot I like the unnamed ones too. Ah collecting. I mean when you get down to it all them figures are worth on average $25-30 when you look at your collection. So easily thousands of dollars in plastic. So whether you collect for value or just collect. It has value because we have money to spend on it and they are desired.
I only have a few of these guys. Because of my job I go long periods of time where I don’t have a way to buy them so I end up missing out. That being said some of these suck for real lol I ended up buying a Rex and fox for around $50 a piece. I got lucky at the time. That was like 2 years ago. Thank got they were not what they are now or I would have not gotten them lol

My Fox arrived (as advertized) without box and (new to me, thanks austrian mail service...) with a cracked visor piece. I did not care - i paid 25 Euro. Like. 2 years ago. One of my happiest finds.
I had to cobble my Rex together out of a Bad Batch Rex (boo, hiss) and an Aliexpress bootleg. I'm mostly happy with the result but i'm incredibly annoyed that he was never re-released; i made it on the Big Bad Toy Store preorder list and it just never came out -.-'
I'm surprised - where's Cara Dune in this list? The Credits Collection version is easy to find (I paid 25 bucks for mine and i'm super happy :D ) but the regular one.... sheeeesh. Did i miss any disqualifiers at the beginning? Was she an exclusive or something?
Yeah that Hunter/Crosshair wave came and went in the US it seems like. Cara Dune averages for just under $60 here in the US. It'd probably make the Top 20. -Justin
huh. I sort my Ebay by continental Europe, shipping from the US... good lord... i never see a mainline Cara Dune for below 150. (Credit Collection tends to sit around 75 here) Amazing sculpt in my book; gun's a bit gummy.
I think there's a pattern: whichever character is popular or desirable will be worth it... even if the figure is really bad at first sight objectively. I do have some remarks:
What surprises me is Revan not being this high after checking the page, both the first release and Archive for the 50th of Lucasfilm, because of Malak and Bastila being out last year. He's needed to complete what is essentially the triumvirate of KotOR.
As for Vader and I can't help it since I've grown up loving the character since 1998-1999 on the VHS non-special edition release, they all went down following ROTJ40 and Duel's End (THE most expensive Vader in the line thus far). Even if I'm critical of it and rightfully so, I'm happy I got the ROTJ40 Vader twice since I can't trust Hasbro putting this release in Galaxy Mural Packaging due to their obsession with the ANH upperbody buck for the past seven years (c'mon Hasbro moments). Also, TVC DS2 Vader is less expensive on average than TBS but it's a matter of time before the scales are balanced on that front as well. 😛
There are more serious subjects for sure but that's for another time.
Oh for sure! Character desirability is the driving factor for a lot of these on this list...because most of them aren't really good figures. I am pretty sure they'll end up putting that 40th ROTJ Vader in ROTJ galaxy packaging. They have done that for every 40th anniversary figure so far I believe. -Justin
When Darth Nihilus was released I ordered him and maybe the purge trooper but they ended up sending me 3 Nihilus' and no trooper but gamestop eventually sent me the trooper as well and told me to keep the extra figures, only time something like that happened to me

Have great in-person hunting memories tracking some of these down! Rex at Ross for $3 and 0-0-0 at Best Buy for $7 were probably the highlights, but finally finding that Obi-Wan at Walgreens was like a dream come true. I prefer the consistency these days as pre-orders are far more reliable (and less of a race to get a figure ordered in the first few minutes), but another part of me really misses the in-person scores of 2017-2019.

Holy smokes! I just recently paid over $80 for Asajj Ventress on Amazon. That figure was in the low to mid $70’s for the longest. The rise in that figure and all of sudden both Clone Wars Ahsoka with the Blue Lightsabers, and the Padawan Ahsoka with the Green Lightsabers… I just knew Asajj would crack the top 10. I also thought Plo Kloon and Qui-Gon Jinn would’ve been on here too. I need to find somewhere to get these figures cheaper, because Amazon is the only place I trust to actually fulfill the with no shenanigans. Enjoyed the video!

I paid $160 for Capt. Rex on Amazon... and then I also got the BAD BATCH version, for $25. I also paid about $75 for CARA DUNE (she was the first one I got... out of over 100).

I'm hoping BT gets a re-issue on the new astromech body, maybe 2-pack with 000. I'm also hoping to get better Clone Wars Obi-Wan and for the Anakin re-tool (put it in the Ahsoka wave, I don't care) I only own the D+ show Obi-Wan. I'm looking forward to TPM Maul coming up. The only Anakin i have is the Force Spirit.
Of this list i don't own any Clone Commanders and I'm trying not to get into them unless i can get them all... I have Wolf, and i did get Jesse and Fives, so i have some Troopers but Fox and Rex making the shelf incomplete, I remember Gree was on some lists a few years ago, I'm just tring to avoid Commanders until they do get re-issued in some way (c'mon Hasbro, like your going to lose money on Rex)
Of this list i own Leia, Hunter (walked into a collector store, paid slightly more than retail) Nihilus (walked into a Gamestop one day, found him) and Clone Commander Obi-Wan... which was one of my first Black Series. I actually found 3 of them at a Walgreens when I started collecting, and they hung out there for a bit. I got to choose which had the better face cus they all had a strong rosey-cheek look...They had the silver leg 3PO (also scored), and Keenan that i recall. i haven't found anything good at that location since. Nihilus, CC Obi-Wan and the archive 501st are some of the most frustrating figures i own because i can't do anything with them.

Everytime I see the price of the Archive ROTS Anakin, I sort of regret not having the clairvoyance to buy the 2 pegs full that my local Walmart had the January following the year he came out for 11 bucks a piece 😕....and on a separate Rex related note I still have a boxed Rex literally because it was $5 at 5Below, and I also randomly found a Bad Batch Rex randomly at a MACYS in Atlanta that they rang up for $8 as a random iten because obviously it wasn't in their system

I think the list matches what we see in the Netherlands...with the difference that the figures are way more expensive over here. Triple zero and Anakin Archive go for around €120. I would have expected IG-88 blue line to be in the list. On this side of the pond the price of him is close to Triple zero.

I remember for that triple force friday i saw a ton of those ehite box Mando's all over the place and didn't think anything of it. I did get one and kept him sealed because I had the black box one, but I sold the white box a couple years back for $150 which was cool lol

I took Nilus out and did a bunch of part swapping with the ROSW Kylo REN. I didn’t have the force awakens one but, I needed my nilus taller somehow.

honestly surprised Hunter is on the list, I bought 11 or 12 of them as bases for some resin conversion kits I was printing when it released. I still have a couple of them somewhere I think I only ended up using 4 or 5 of them.

I’m rich! I have all those figgies. I have two Captain Rex figures. Maybe three. I have one whom I’ve never put the helmet on to scratch the paint. One which didn’t have the best likeness always has the helmet on. I do like my Clone Commanders. Actually I like all my named Clone figures. Shoot I like the unnamed ones too. Ah collecting. I mean when you get down to it all them figures are worth on average $25-30 when you look at your collection. So easily thousands of dollars in plastic. So whether you collect for value or just collect. It has value because we have money to spend on it and they are desired.
