  • Welcome to fluid flow a yoga practice designed to feel like one continuous movement. The aim of this class is to get completely lost in the flow where you no longer feel like you are taking a class but simply enjoying being here and now.
    This class features a 35 minute dynamic yoga practice inspired by vinyasa yoga. This class is perfect for intermediate yogis who want to experience something different from their practice.
    I hope you enjoy this fluid yoga flow.

    Thank you Charlie! Oh my! loved it loved it like all of your practices! I’ll always live you’re creativity yet another way of going onto the supine twist!! Without looking at the screen I was actually in a half frog with a thread the needle and I was asking myself what does she mean by supine? I’m inprone 😂😂😂😂? I looked at the screen and that’s when your comment regarding getting into the twist that way… I love learning from you… I’m a “guider” myself and I don’t remember getting into the supine twist that way. Forever grateful for your new and creative transitions into asanas…
    I guess my comment is always the same longer classes please! What can I say you leave me wanting more! Thank you for your generosity but please consider 45 -60 minutes practices like this with everything in in so we can enjoy jus a tad longer flow without compromising the restorative portion of it.

    The first video I ever did of yours was a fluid flow, last March. I remember being just 🤯😧 My brain and body were buzzing. glad I revisited the fluid tonight and rhythmic last night. It’s a perfect pace both very swift. I’m gonna do a few more like this I think.
    Double pigeon…. 😖 gah! It’s so intense. I used the feld sense ( ? Sp) with mostly just my hands and it took a lot of my focus off of the knees.

    This was awesome as always. I've been pacing myself with this series, spacing them out: I did the first three, then the fifth and then realised I'd accidentally missed this one. Perhaps that was meant to be because I got to 24:24 and suddenly injured my back knee, after coming back into pigeon after fire log pose and preparing to lift up into the fallen star! (Still a very cool transition though). I don't know what happened but my muscles and tendons over and on the inside of my knee must've freaked out after the change in hip position. It hurt so much and now my left knee doesn't like going down stairs or being the back leg in a lunge and things like that 😭😭😭 So I'm just resting and being very gentle with it. Just bummed to be out of action and don't want to lose the strength your classes have been helping me to build! But got to listen to my body. Just hoping I don't get psyched out in future because I don't want to stop trying new things. Got to be patient with our precious bods!

    • @CharlieFollows
      @CharlieFollows  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey thank you so much for the update. I watched back to see what might have happened and one thing I can think of is that you may have twisted the knee as you sweeped the leg back. This can create a torquing in the knee which can lead to problems down the line. If it is that you did this I hope that with rest your knee sorts itself out as the body is great at fixing itself when we give it rest. One thing to take from this experience is that when you sweep the leg back isolate the movement to the hip so that it’s the thigh bone that is rotating in the hip joint as it’s designed to do. I really hope this doesn’t deter you in the future. I know how your confidence might feel shaken as I’ve had similar experiences in the past. I know you expressed worry about losing strength and I can say from experience your body will remember, it may be challenging for a few days when you get back into movement but I promise you it isn’t lost. You have laid a solid foundation and that won’t be lost. I hope this message helps answer any questions and bolster your confidence for the future.

      @@CharlieFollows thank you so much for all the time and effort in your reply! I have been resting and integrating activity slowly and it’s definitely healing up! Thank you for the advice. I will focus on that hip rotation next time. And yeah thankfully I’m finding I’ve still got a fair bit of strength there. Yay!
