Huge thanks to adidas Golf for making this happen and Team TaylorMade athlete Collin for sharing his insights into why he carries certain models of clubs and how his bag came to be where it is for the 2024 season.
Collin explains how he tests different Milled Grind wedges and why he thinks he'll be returning into the Tiger Grind. How he works into his Qi10 LS Driver and the process he goes through when exploring loft, face angle and weight placement. His insights into detail are an invaluable lesson for us all.
One very interesting point he makes is how he picks with TP5 golf ball based on shot shape. Collin talks openly about where his approach game is currently and how he looks to leverage the golf ball to work in his favor.
Collin also reveals how he uses the team on the tour truck to maximize performance and adjust sole design when it comes to his irons. He also explains why he changes shafts throughout the set to optimize launch, something we rarely see in a tour players bag.
To close out he talks about his appreciation of his Qi10 5 wood and how reliable that club is when under pressure. His grip tape build up throughout the set is something you will want to listen to (around the 6 minute mark) and then he gets into his current TaylorMade Soto and why he continues with a blade V's a mallet putter and the importance of SPEED when putting.

I didn't get exacts at the time but it wasn't crazy long. Nice putter though, lots of clean lines and good stuff in there.

Two legends
They seemed to gloss over the driver choice fairly quickly. Wonder if it's because he was touted as playing the Max driver, since that was the hyped up driver of the line this year, and then ditched it a week later.

If we skimmed over the D then it was unintentional. What I will say is that there was so much great stuff in his irons that I focused most of the video there.
You guys have to keep in mind when I get pockets of time with players it's often at a photoshoot or in between sets , so we don't have endless time to bang out longer videos.
So with that said if something is glossed over it's usually because I've taken the conversation elsewhere.
It’s likely that this was a part of the TM shoot that happened right when they would have seen the Qi for the first time. Maybe just hadn’t figured out what he liked yet 🤷♂️
@@TheBowman5 this was an adidas shoot on an off week. He was testing many different clubs, that's the truth of the situation

He's a tour player & he can 🤣. I haven't seen him since to ask but ultimately, as we all know, putting can be a tough one to nail down just one option. My thinking is he found something he liked a little more in that moment and is giving it a whirl.
If he puts a 50g counter weight in the grip, what affect will that have on the swingweight?

Collin absolutely does not use the Qi10 driver on Tour, this is intentionally misleading.
As he says this is a bag that's made up of some clubs he is currently testing. On the day we shot this the Qi10 model in this video was the only driver in his bag. I don't get why I would intentionally mislead folks and then have Collin in the vid doing that too 🤷♂. This is Tour these guys test constantly
