Just put a New Zealand style wool indicator 3ft above it and if you lose sight of the fly the indicator will let you know when a fish strikes. I do that with all my tiny, hard to see flies.

Is that medallion sheet the same as raffia or is it the "brittle-film" looking ( kind of looks like an öll slick) sheet??
