    I’m betting this would also work quite well as a caddis emerger.
    I’ve been tying a lot of hair wing streamers, & the weather in the Boston area has been static creating lately, & making the hair stick in my hair stacker. I started cleaning the stacker tubes with a used fabric softener cloth, & it’s been quite helpful. I’m not sure if it’s the softener compound or the mesh-like fabric doing a good cleaning job on the tube, but it sure reduces static & the hair slides out smoothly.

    I like to wrap my pheasant tail fibres "with" my thread, instead of just wrapping my thread up to the flat part of the klink hammer hook.I feel it adds more security to the wraps.

      @@ShortyOnTheFly First time working with the deer hair, so my bodies are kind of covered by the deer hair, yours look so much nicer. Tying is such an intricate art form.

    Thanks for sharing, can I please ask what brand of scissors are they. I’m new to fly tying and I’m looking at purchasing some. Thank you.

    • @ShortyOnTheFly
      @ShortyOnTheFly  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are Rubis scissors made in Switzerland. A bit pricey but definitely worth it. Scissors are one of those things you do not want to skimp on. But also have a cheap pair on hand for cutting wire and such. You do not want to dull your good pair. Hope that helps. Best of luck.

      @@ShortyOnTheFly thank you very much. I’ve been glued to your channel this morning. I have found it very informative and helpful. If I may ask another, what brand was the fly box that was the only one that you will need to carry? Thanks for your time and advice.🇦🇺

      @@trevorgreen2370 The brand stamped on it is Kingfisher but I think it just a large capacity nymph box.
