I always thought Sean Penn was full of it, but when he gave Zelensky that Oscar for absolutely no good reason, it honestly confirmed my suspicions.

Well I haven't seen it so don't like to say much Sean directed Into the Wild though which was a very poignant sad true story so undoubtedly he has some skills for storytelling other than just as an actor and some causes and projects really appeal to him.

Good day, mr Bernthal! Wanted to say thank you for your wonderful performance, especially in Punisher series. Such commitment and depth - it is really remarkable. Also wanted to thank you for your podcast series and desire to find truth, but i strongly disagree about coverage of Russia-Ukranian conflict. See, i live in Crimea, i witnessed many historic events, that took place in last decade, and what really bothers me, that no mainstream media, and very little non-mainstream guys in the West really tried to figure out why Russia-Ukraine conflict happened. I can definately tell, that much of what people in US hear about is a lie, because they lied on the matter, in which i am certain - Crimea. Like they told, that we are somehow occupied, or we voted on referundum because of guns to our head and another nonsense like that. I'm not trying to reconvince somebody - if they are like to listen about life in Crimea in such manner - who am i to tell them not to. But in some days and in some ways i would really like it, if more people in the US knew what happened in Crimea for real, if Russia and the US would be on good terms, because people over here, and people in your country are much alike. Anyway, keep up the good work, really looking forward to see more of your films in future. Huge shoutout to mr. Lightfoot and all cast and crew of the Punisher for their amazing job.
There was an occupation in Crimea. Crimea is Ukraine. The aggressor country russia took advantage of the political instability in 2014 and occupied part of Ukraine. This is what actually happened!

I listened the whole podcast, and when the Palestinians question rised, suddenly, it is all about nuances. This clip about the Ukrainian war is really telling, Sean's stance is acrimonious towards any peace negotiations, WE MUST WIN THIS WAR!!! was it possible to the get go?

So very suspect of how much this man needs to be visible to himself. Documentaries are for the subject and not the documentary maker. I believe Penn didn't have the "contacts" he had, was glamorizing and romanticizing. There are far more gifted people who make documentaries who aren't looking to be relevant and admired. The filmmaker is looking to tell a story for the reasons of idolization, to stay relevant to their so-called fame, and has a big budget. The documentary maker is looking to tell a story for the reasons/purpose of authenticity, truth, conviction, knowledge, awareness, etc., that isn't always currently relevant but rather, a need to tell the world. Zelensky was a comedian before taking office (show business), and is very smart about publicity. He knew how to stay relevant and be "seen" to the world to defend his country from an unjust invasion.
