You are spot on with your conclusion about this right side pull on the Himalayan452 and this continues correction on long rides ( 500/600 kms ) on a long haul, does lead to some sort of a discomfort on both plams, wrists , right shoulder and left under arm. And all those who now bought these bikes are stuck with very annoying problem. The throttle lag isssue too becomes a serious handicap in the mountains, when one has to negotiate a large ditch, a fast climb from a slow flat surface and a quick left or right hand slide. Hopefully RE will look into these issues on later productions but maybe not, as is their habit to produce inferior quality motorcycles.

I own a new Himalayan 450 from a month ago. I had a problem with the steering, which is slightly on the right side. The dimensions between the front fork and tank are also different. At first service, I indicated the problem, but the mechanic said there was no problem. Now there is a tukbtukb noise from the front while passing small potholes and hard breaking. Sometimes, while breaking a bike, it tends to move slightly to the right side.
The cone set is loose. Ask him to tighten it. I had the same issue and this got resolved. The alignment of the handlebar is also slightly off, which can be corrected.
Check the alignment with the handlebar and the front wheel.... In my case I have to always keep the handle turned slightly to the right for the bike to go straight. If I keep the handlebar straight, the bike doesn't go straight.

Everyone is complaining about the right turning issue but i think that is a gyroscopic movement due to radiator fan ( rotating on a vertical plane) and the bike/radiator itself travelles on a plane due to shock absorber so its causing the bike to turn in right side. If the radiator fan rotation would be changed, then the bike will turn in the left side. At a low speed this gyroscopic effect is negligible but as the speed increases, its effect will be significant.
How come the radiator fan is affecting the turning/steering related??? seriously? the radiator fan works only when the thermostat activates - temperature sensor - ECU - fan relay - radiator fan. Not all times radiator fan rotate.. could you please explain how this is related?

Two ideas about the sideways pull: 1. Could it be that the roads are slightly tilted to the right for water to run off? In that case the bike's normal stability may cause that sideways pull when following the bank. It's a very common thing to build roads at an angle for better drainage, especially in regions that experience hard rain often. I guess India's monsoon would count as such… 2. Could this be an issue with the fit&finish? Have you or your mechanic tried to loosening the bolts that clamp on the front axle, compress the front fork a couple of times completely and then tightening the clampy bolts back to specced torque? I am from Germany, I have not heard any of the German tests and motovlogging owners mention that effect with the 452.
I also felt the same thing. I would suggest you to rotate the mirrors and then adjust. It helped me immensely. Rotate just the round structure clockwise or counterclockwise
????? open the damn thing an adjust it. What's with all these noobs buying bikes for the first time ?? do you take it to the mechanic to lube the chain too ?
Thanks for pointing out the issues, Sure they are genuienly and true, I too have Hanle version of the same machine, I had the same experience of having the "REAR Sensor" failure in the first week of purchase during the first of week of July 2024. The fit and finish of the machine needs more improvement and what are the people at the factory end doing after all we have to spill over 3.5 lac +++ the accessories close to 4 lac and RE is just not bothered to take these little things into consideration. I did face the second issue of overheating and did not heed to the warning.
Very helpful video, i have booked and awaiting the delivery.but still in doubt whether to go with such niggles and with time will there be more. How about tappet and coneset noise? Anything you faced?
I would suggest u get the ktm390 adventure. The refinement is great and the problems non existent and If u r not above 100 kg of weight. The adventure 390 is a perfect fit for city ride or the highway. RE could have overcome all of the small issues but I don't know why they did not take care of the same. I m writing this from 2500 kms of riding ownership of Himi450.
100 miles on my Himalayan 450 and it started leaking oil from the clutch cover. I had the bike for two weeks and will now have it in the shop for 3 weeks.
I also experienced error popping up " engine overheated stop riding immediately ". I had done only 5-7kms on the brand new bike. Issue was my radiator fan was not working and coolant was leaking. Service team told they removed a coupler from fan and it started working which also solved the coolant leakage.
You're lugging it by riding it like a long stroke engine. You shouln't stay at 2k rpm, that's why it's "rough". Try using the whole rpm range, it's not like the previous Himalayan.
He also doesn't know that this bike has less torque compared to 411 ( the initial). generally speaking in a petrol engine higher torque at higher rpm. the throttle response lag is evident in all single cylinder bikes & using gloves the response is not accurate if one wants to test.. manufacturers are least bothered about throttle response precision for a single reasons are many.
Sir in my Himalayan 450, the throttle response is delay (even we left it) means when we leave the throttle after giving acceleration, it still accelarates for 1 second more.... Is that same for all Himalayan 450???
I test rode H452 but still unable to digest why everyone is praising Sherpa engines? I found vibrations almost through out rev band, you have to be absolutely maintain perfect gear / speed combination to get reasonably smooth ride which I feel impossible and cumbersome for rider. In Traffic not at all recommended.

Go for Scrambler 400x
Himalayan is overrated.
This is the best motorbike in this segment. Only u have to learn how to handle it technically.
Still postponing delivery hoping tubeless spoke wheels would be launching soon.
Me too..
Very very light weight motorcycle so you should wait
@@arjnVl any idea how long? I had booked my 450 in nov.
@@MrMRSAF probably by the end of March!
@@arjnVl my bike delivery is in May, do you think they'll offer tubeless tyres?
Do you recommend fuelx pro+ for this motorcycle
Two ideas about the sideways pull:
1. Could it be that the roads are slightly tilted to the right for water to run off? In that case the bike's normal stability may cause that sideways pull when following the bank. It's a very common thing to build roads at an angle for better drainage, especially in regions that experience hard rain often. I guess India's monsoon would count as such…
Is that royal enfield told you anytime take off your both hands from the handle bar and ride on highways??
what is a wyckle?
I wish could give you many likes. Your contribution is priceless
Greetings from the land of Diego & Leo
Cheers mate !
In my himi, the movement of right mirror is very restricted as compared to the left one. Keeps me on edge in the traffic 😢
How do you get these problems fixed when you are in the middle of no where these bugs need to be rectified if your going to do an overland trip
I did face the second issue of overheating and did not heed to the warning.
are you the one who started to pull the HIMI with 6th gear ? initially lol who is talking some silly issues in this beautiful machine
triumph scrambler 400 is more refined and throttle response is quicker compared to Himalayan, and even more refined on the suzuki Adv 250
Very helpful video, i have booked and awaiting the delivery.but still in doubt whether to go with such niggles and with time will there be more.
How about tappet and coneset noise? Anything you faced?
I feel none of these issues is big enough yo change purchase decisions.. The bike as a whole has performed exceptionally .
Do share about what the service guys at RE has to say about these issues..
The engine noise is too much!! Not at all smooth sound
I ride this in continuous stop and go traffic in Bangalore. Took me two days to get used to it.
You are right, this bike has too much hype. I brought this 4 days ago and believe me after riding 7km, i was like to give it back to showroom. It has lots of issues. Only plus is the suspension.
I cancelled my booking yesterday
@@NiteenKulkarni just one saying... you did good decision. If you really want a bike to perform everywhere except extreme offroading then take test ride of vstrom 250. You will find social media post that its suspension travel is not good, but again opposite to social media review you will get home a gem.
@@UttamKumar-im9xp thanks sirji for suggestion
The vibration that comes through the pegs and bars maybe enfeilds engineers can experiment with putting different components in side the tubes of the frame to try and reduce or eliminate the vibes coming through the bike ,old jimmy Aust
In the UK we are really looking forward to the new Himi releasing in march! The original himi has been so popular, you see little squadrons of himis riding around the countryside between main roads and green lanes.
If the new himi is a big hit then I will be buying one next year for sure!
I heard that the 411cc will stop production which seems silly because it is its own unique product!
Thank you for your efforts pointing out those cons. Definitely they are crucial. I am too concerned about wind blast and the accessory long wind shield, totally non practical at a cost too.
Hope RE / after market make a better and practical wind screen that helps.
LED headlight are useless on highway rides
Eazy ride from Pro Spec
Excellent review, I liked it very much. I was actually looking for this level of detail, which I got it from your video... Thanks 🙏

I am facing noise issue from cone set area since the delivery of my Himalayan 450 and the service center guys could not solve that issue yet.
A lot of hype was made for this bike. 805mm seat isn't available yet and the tubeless wheel option isn't coming anytime soon. I made a good decision to not buy in a hurry as I wasn't convinced by the hype.
The delivery timelines are a struggle I agree, but the machine is great value for money.. In my opinion. A true do it all adv bike
@@Twenty3Rides I did test rode this bike a few times, it's not an everyday city bike by any means, unfortunately a lot of so called bike reviewers tried to convince viewers that it actually is. It's a good ADV with some flaws ,but definitely not a scrambler-type for "do it all". Hoping to see what's on the platter in coming months inclusive of RE.
The lower seat option is currently showing on RE website on the configurator..
@@chinmaya_kl14 oh I just checked seeing your comment, and it doesn't cost anything extra moreover. That's a W :P
@@chinmaya_kl14 Thanks for the info. But without tubeless spoke wheel not going to buy at all and by the time it comes, we may end up seeing more bike options in the market.
I have purchased the new Himalayan and after first service & 800KM it is now in the service center for last 6 days post the starter motors going bad & replacement is still awaited... dont know by when the same will be replaced....
Starter motor issue .. Really. Didn’t expect that.
@@Twenty3Rides yes... even i am surprised because hardly any starter motor goes bad...
@@Twenty3Rides another issue is the handle isnot properly set in the middle one side is longer or shorter than the other ... have it checked... someone on YT did have this issue i also checked even my bike had.. it (~3-5MM). I also got the handle to be straighter than leaning towards me makes the ride and handling better... (may be its my thing)..

Is ktm adventure 390 is comfortable and don't have issues You have stated ?
I had ktm390 adv and it was a great bike, all around.
I got my himalayan delivered on Friday and I have ridden around 500kms on in. Since the last two days when im parking it on side stand it is not starting (stand folded) in a single self start, i have to try multiple times to start it. the engine starts but gets turned off immediately.
is the issue resolved buddy?
@@clintsride It got fixed automatically. Issue never to be found.

himalayan 450 tripper is not connecting with pixel phones with Android 14. tired of complaining to RE , they are not giving me proper response.please you try to connect with pixel phone and please highlight this issue
Make sure you are not in Wi-Fi range because then the bike or your phone switches over to the Wi-Fi connection rather than the bike’s.

Issues I have had with Himalayan 450 since day 1
Right leaning issue fixed
Front and rear wheels wobbling fixed
Brake pads wearing because of earlier two points fixed
LHS & RHS switch gear stopped working in the rain fixed
Auto/ Dark mode not working...stays dark even in Auto mode not fixed!
This lag problem is due to bs6 phase 2 norms every engine having this issue due to catalytic converter is added which effects engine power
Vibrations in the range of 4000rpm to 5000rpm are huge because typically you tend to ride your bike at those rpms
Hi Guys !! I own Himalayan 450. Trust me guys machine is awesome, with regards to Vibrations no there are no bad vibrations it’s just a lil buzz which gets smoother after 1000 kms. It’s a treat to go on long rides on this Machine. Handling problem yes my bike leans on right side and I am leaving my Himalayan tomorrow at service centre. Let’s see what solution or fix they have on it. Will keep you guys posted on it. And am sure RE will get final solution on it soon as they are aware about all these issues.
Any updates??

Did u get a solution ?
Bro i have same issue it's leaning towards right what should be done 😶plz reply
Hua apka issue thek
I dont get the "right leaning issue"
187 cm tall. The bike is perfect for my height. As a Harley rider (old 2007 models lol) i found the bike smooth as silk ahahah the handles tho yeah i think i'll cover them with leather straps
For changing mode while riding-Give zero throttle and hold the clutch/hold the clutch at Neutral .Then press the mode button, then the mode changes while riding.
To change mode at start-Keep gear neutral and press mode button twice
Actually really excited about this bike until the feedback is really heavy on the vibration and low power output
The bike is compressed and Himalayan has issues below 4K rpm ur driving style is exactly where it’s disappointing just rev it more you will love the vehicle figured out my self after 5-6 test rides
I like your down to earth honesty 👍
while taking U turns...its best done by counterbalancing. Ive been doing complete 360 turns on this bike on a 3 mts road
I am ownimg 411,had some issues with it.
Tried test drive 450,like par delivery,suspension,tarque..then i driven my 411,man then i know my 411 i need always..not worth to upgrading to 411 to 450
thank you for all this experience!
I own the new Himalayan i dont have the throttle issue i have done 300 odd kms
The throttle lag issue is etched into the ECU and every Himalayan 452 has this, so if you feel it or not then that is another matter.
when do we get the low seat option in the uk then?
Jeez, it's like the lines weren't there....
It seems like you are stressing the engine, by riding at 15km/h at 4th gear!!
could you please talk about the CHASIS QUALITY in the new himalayan. because the chasis broke issue and quality issue was lots i saw in previous old models.
Chassis might not break this time but the engine can.. motorbeams bike got shut on its own and also a youtubers bike stranded him in middle of a ride.. choose wisely

the throttle sensor putting the bike into Limp mode is a deal breaker, 2 different press bikes failing on a major European trip shows a bike that is Unreliable .
About the balance, if you want a perfectly neutral balance, with perfect weight distribution so that it doesn't affect the piloting, consider buying a Subaru 😂😂😂
Now seriously. Try checking front suspension misalignment - I noticed straight away in the video, your bar is tilted to the left. Check alignments. Also front tire installation on wheel. These are my bets
I test rode one in the UK. Very impressive bike. You need to 'rag' it. It's not a plodder. Use those revs and forget it's a single!
Agree totally !
seriously Yamaha must make a touring bike with ultra reliable and ultra smooth r15 engine. these lesser known manufacturers are just selling rusted metal
Experience the right side pulling any solution? Sir
Have heard multiple solutions now - Sprocket issue, Cone set adjustments and Straightening handle bar.. Take it to workshop, they will address it.
@@Twenty3Rides thanks sirt
I like the bike I like the suspension and the utilitarian design of the bike I hate all that crap plastic ,and now it’s got power when needed,my style of riding is a plodder just lesurely riding and a bit of dirt roads plenty fast enough for me its. fast enough on the freeway ,it’s a single so vibration to an extent will be there, that’s ok for me ,bang for buck what it says on the tin it dose nothing comes close to it and the new price is good for what you get compaired to other singles ,oh l though I’d put this in these sports bikes scare the living day lights out of me as I don’t have the talent for them ,that Himalayan I can handle, jimmy Australia
Throttle dead zone sounds like the triumph trident 660

1.Mirrors are not stable after 120kph.
2.Handle bars balancing issue which leads to hand pain.
3.Heating issue not that much but still heating is there.
4.Headlights are not reached up to the expectations but it's manageable.
5. Vibrations are there in everywhere but it's adjustable.
What urgently required: Need stable mirrors.
Need to sort out Manufacturing issues of Handle bars...
Launch tubeless tyres and touring seats.
I am very confused, which side of the road are you and the other drivers driving on ? The left ? The right? The center ? Come on ! This is a dreadful example to set road users , and it seems to have started developing in the uk !
There is also another glitch with the petrol indicator in the display. It automatically changes sometimes on a new ignition.
