You know, just the other day I was building a Flat 6/Boxer 6 NA build using the Subaru BRZ in NFS Heat and thought how amazing it would be if someone made something like it in real life. Good to know I wasn't the only person to think hat combo works and sounds really well.
That one more liter of displacement and extra 150 hp do WONDERS on BRZ/FRS/GT86! It messes a bit with the weight balance bc you have a longer and heavier engine, but the additional power and torque are well worth it! It turns BRZ from a fun but kinda slow coupe to a ROCKET on four wheels! Also it sounds absolutely GORGEOUS! EZ30 is such an underrated engine.
This is an EG33 destroked but yes, EZ30 is definately a slept on engine. Doesn't actually weigh that much more then the FA20 couterpart, even only roughly 40-50mm longer if I'm not mistaken. Was originally designed to fit in place of the EJ's so not entirely surprising. Just wish someone would build a customer H8 engine based off the EG33 with another 2 cylinders, 4.4 litre flat 8 would be wild.
EZ30 is the engine from Legacy Spec B 3.0R is exactly what GT86/BRZ should have instead of that wet fart of a 2.0L it had. Lower trims should just have had FB20 and FB25 engines from XV Crosstrek and Forester/Outback at 150hp and 170hp, a bit less than FA20 but feeling properly torque all the way through and EZ30 would be at 245hp and almost 300nm of torque.
@@justinianyi3838 you really hit the nail on the head. The question isnt how much power an engine can make, because with the right modifications, any engine can make 1000hp. The question is how long the engine will last at a given power factor.
The EG33 is already a pretty robust engine thanks to its design based off the ej22, someone here in Australia made just shy of 300whp out of an unopened EZ36. Jdm eg33's were rated at around 170kw in naturally aspirated form at the flywheel, seeing as this engine is a destroked built version of it, 350whp with fueling mods and increase in comp should see 350whp relatively easily.
@@xenn4985flat 6s like the porsche 911 turbo engines and the ez30 eg engines etc ars pretty robust and can take lots of boost for a long time in most cases. These engines will last longer than a flat 4 with boost when built properly. And there are people with 911 turbos above 700 whp that drive them for years.
I don't know if it has itb, but judging by the shape and that it's pointing backwards, i think it's not an air intake but an air vent to draw out hot air from the engine bay
@@slonky821 - it was written that is is from SVX, so EG33. But displacement was listed as 3000, instead of EG33's 3300. However, I had read somewhere it was destroked to meet class regulations. Edit: hell, it's all in the description of the video xD It's a destroked SVX engine. EG33 was mounted in SVX and SVX only.

how is it when i search for ez/eg swapped cars I don’t come up with much. But suddenly, oh look! an eg swapped BRZ
Same here 😂😂

Amazing sound, love these unique builds

Ez engines aren’t that much longer at all. Heavier for sure, but I tell you, they are almost dimensionally identical

Almost sounds like a cross between a Porsche and a 3-rotor.
And a few notes from a 1JZ-2JZ
Well, this BRZ race car looks so competitive like that BRZ GT300 in Japanese SUPER GT.
That BRZ GT300 is still using the 2.0L EJ20, fyi.
It sounds absolutely amazing... 👍🏻
Einfach der Wahnsinn der Hobel und die Arbeit dahinter RESPEKT!💯
It has a beautiful sound, congratulations on the video of this particular car. 👍

Schönes Video, tolle Fahrer 👍🚘👍
nice video, great drivers
I would love to see how they packaged the exhaust manifolds
How you get 350hp from 3000cc NA ? Great project!

Magic beans
i hope they add itbs...
What are the details surrounding the transmission? It sounds sequential from the video?
I did a little digging and I have a hunch that it has a drenth sequential.
How do I get this body kit
Tim!!!
Which flat six do you use ?
Check the description please.
Its a EG33 H--6 if u wanna be specific

Subaru 3.6R H6 is better then any 911 time bomb 3.8 H6
