I absolutely LOVE this beautiful necklace you’ve created❣️ I hope someone reads this as I have a few Qs. 1. The four wires you used differ in thickness. Will that matter when choosing crimps? 2. I’ve never used colored Flex Wire but really want to. Does it tarnish, fade in color or turn green? 3. Since the crimps and clasp you used aren’t sterling will those eventually tarnish or turn green? 4. I am obsessed with your other index finger ring❣️ Is there a tutorial on that one? It’s on your left hand and has a disc like something on top. Thank you so much and I am beyond grateful for the art and knowledge you all share with us❣️💞

It looks like memory wire, so I'll give it a go as it looks good.

What a pretty piece. Can you tell me if the ring on your right index finger is memory wire? And if so, did you use crimps to start and finish?

The ring is memory wire yes. here is a tutorial on how to make it! Beaded Memory Wire Rings: th-cam.com/video/QBaqPjrFI98/w-d-xo.html
She used crimp tubes at the end to connect the clasp and the beads are used on each side of the beads. Hope this helps!

Hi there. The only thing I would do differently is to use wire guardians on the end of the string before putting on the crimp bead. Other than that it is perfect. Stay safe out there. Take care and God bless

Do you use the same distance between beads no matter what the length of the necklace is?

    • @JewelSchool

It's really up to you, but for this necklace, yes. Katy used the end of her crimping pliers to measure the space between the beads. You can lay the beaded strands in a line and space them out how you want so they aren't touching when finished.

How do you get rid of a crimp if you put it in the wrong place? I'm anticipating based on how many errors I usually make!!!!!

You should be able tyo cut it off at the very edge. But as you probably guessed, you have to be very careful not to cut your cord! or You can attempt to remove the crimp bead by crimping it in the opposite direction. Set the crimp bead into the inner jaw of the crimp pliers with the fold at the top. Gently squeeze the crimping pliers into the fold. This may loosen the crimp enough to slide it off of the wire.
