    Lovely video...mam can you please tell me how to protect the ear loops from tarnishing..

    • @Lisa.Lucier
      @Lisa.Lucier 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you talking about ear wires? The part that go through your ear? What kind of metal are you using? If you can buy sterling silver in 20g and just keep it to make war wires, they won’t tarnish really. And if they do you just need to clean them up. Using a 20g artistic tarnish resistant wire would work well also. If you have a lot of them already that do tarnish and you’d rather use them up than go out and purchase other wire, you can paint them with clear fingernail polish. Hope this helps!

      I can’t make my own comment here, only reply to someone else’s. does anyone know why? Can we only comment when she’s live, recording the video? I am subscribed so I’m just not sure why I can’t . Thanks if anyone knows!

    Susan what size are the crimp beads you used? Where I live I am having a heck of time finding tiny crimp beads. So if I have to order them I wanna make sure I get the right ones. Thanks

  • @StitchesbySharonH

    Hey there Susan! These are just precious!! Is there a reason why you didn’t use actual crimping pliers and crimp and fold the bead, rather than flattening it with regular pliers?
    I’m just curious if there’s a reason because when I’ve made illusion necklaces, I use the crimping pliers and then fold over the bead/tube so it’s even smaller.
    Thank you for sharing, they’re beautiful! 💜

    These are beautiful. If possible can you do a video on how to make your own cabochon bases? I know it’s such a random request but I can’t find any big enough to base so I thought if I make my own I can use them instead 😂

      @@JewelSchool oh thank you it’s for earrings like 20mm plus I can’t find big ones anywhere at least not with two loops so you can also use as a connector too 😭❤️🙏

    Just a suggestion for placing your pearls every time is to make a drawing on grid paper. Mark where the crimp bead goes on the paper. I love your earrings I am going to try using the glue. Thank you

    I always feel so motivated to create when I see your videos! It always looks super nice. BTW, I bought shell buttons recently to make a project I saw on your channel, but one really wants to turn into a ring - in my mind of course! - and I see that you are wearing one today!! Do you have a tutorial to make this ring? Thanks for letting me know. And thanks for your tutorials!!

    Can you use smaller beads ?

  • @shelleydavis9956
    @shelleydavis9956 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Can you knot the illusion cord as you would silk w/pearls?

    • @Lisa.Lucier
      @Lisa.Lucier 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, she did say that. Or a drop of glue and bring the bead right to and over the glue. Even though I like the added metal look with the crimps. I think they would look even more mysterious without them!

    Question- is it crimp beads or crump tubes? You said beads, but the link takes me to tubes. Does it matter? Thank you! LOVE these so much!!!!

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can use either! Susan used the smallest crimp bead she had and in this set is the smallest crimp tube bead we carry at .8mm. If you don't want this particular kit, you can do a quick internet search for "small crimp beads."
