You can cut the yellow foam ear plugs in slices to use as fake corn as well. You can even shake them in some flavor since they're like a sponge. I prefer real corn directly on the hook. Never had any issues losing fish and its way cheaper lol

The Golden Bugle-Lipped Bass was a staple growing up on the Mississippi. I grew up eating them.
FAKE CORN?? When I was catching Carp about 65 or 70 years ago I don't think they had FAKE corn. So I don't think I have ever used Fake Corn. I know I used to add anise oil and real corn to my Catfish Charley. Sometimes if I could get some blood and inners from some Chicken I would add that to my bait also!!

Don't have a lot of blues and flathead within comfortable driving distance, so I really enjoy carp fishing. Such an under rated fighting fish in the states.
The only carp bait I ever use anymore is 1 banana 1 big can of canned yams and half a box of Wheaties mix it all up its sticky as hell but the carp go crazy over it. Actually heard about it from a little kid at the lake one day said his grandpa makes it for him.

Hello Justin. Great carp video. I use the floating fake corn which holds the hook up a couple of inches above your method mix. The females let their eggs out in the water. The eggs attach to the grasses and brush. The males release their contribution which fertilizes the eggs. When the fry hatch they are totally on their own. A male cat takes time to raise his family, a carp spawns for only about two or three days than it is over.

If you like fishing for carp the best and cheapest thing I used is Wheaties cereal and just need a triple hook.

If the bite is tough put real corn in a Ziploc then flavor it and put just enough water to cover, stuff will keep a while if you put it in the fridge too
Hey Justin, I'll save ya a little money by getting rid of the extra swivel in your rig. Run your main line through the method feeder and crimp a small splitshot on top to lock it down. Works well

I absolutely love carp fishing. My largest is 27 lbs. I dont understand why people give carp so much grief. They are usually easy to catch, strong and fight hard.

I love to use a spod or spomb ti bait up with when you get them going when that pack ball hits the water they flock too it also bobber stopper behind a 3 oz no roll weight and those fish will hook themselves even if they swim towards you

You probably already know but you can pack your bait around the hook we use wheat puffs on hook and pack bait around hook

Lots of fake corn on the jungle site! I haven't noticed a difference in the flavored corn and plain plastic corn.

Are you draining the cream corn when you mix the bait? Last sat night, my 9 year old granddaughter hooked a carp in lake champlain with her pink kiddy pole, 4 lb test and a tiny trout hook. she fought it for 10 minutes when her dad took over and fought it for 1 hour. her 1st fish ever and it weighed 23.33 lbs
AliExpress and Temu are sites to get carp gear. It's like Amazon but China version. Shipping cost is very low but takes a few weeks to reach you.
Alright. I'm going to try one of these premade hair rigs. I was tying my own but still using real corn. Ordered some fake corn also so I'll bait a rod and see if I get better results. Spawn is on here so it's been slow
I don't know where you live in Tennessee, but if you ever want to catch massive carp sometime you should go try out Dales Hollow. Catch yourself a 40 pounder! Although I'm betting if you can find them, there are some there in your river.

I paddled up into a grassy flat while bass fishing a backwater at Patoka lake and literally could not dip my paddle in the water without hitting a spawning carp. It was pretty spooky.

You can put the fake corn directly on the hook but you would need to use a bigger hook than what I am currently using

Watched another channel also where they have catfish tournaments...just didn't seem right that everyone showed the scales on camera, well the guy who owns the channel said he caught a 22 lb catfish...funny he didn't show the scales after he weighed it like everyone else..everyone was trying to guess at it , how much it weighed...3 people said 14, 13 ,and 13.5, ..I guessed no more than 16... After he chunked it back in he said it was 22.... Lmao..ooooook...just because it was his channel I guess he just expected everyone to believe him....I just don't like bs...goodluck to you
