I Visited The SONOR FACTORY!

- One of my dreams came true earlier this year in January... I visited the SONOR Factory!
Sonor invited me to the factory long before I officially became a Sonor-artist, and it was so amazing to see how the drums were made, from the thin plies of wood to a finished drum. The craftsmanship and attention to detail is amazing and it was like Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory, but for drummers!
Huge thanks to @SonorDrumTube and Nico for inviting me to the factory. I'll never forget this!

I was there as a teenager with my father.
I also visited Windmill Drums once, a fantastic drum manufacturer.

When I first started playing the drums (not that long ago) I found myself watching these how they're made videos too. I watched a lot of cymbals being made

Wow😮🤯I’m very impressed all the hard work and effort they put. Awesome tour, I would go to Oxnard California to visit the DW factory!!!😂
Now I miss my set, that I needed to sell when I moved from Sweden to Austria. So extremely well made drums, with a lot of thought around what is needed if you play in different locations. Everything very sturdy, reliable, easy to take down and put together in the same way. BUT. I still have my snare! Might bring it to bed tonight. Happy that you got to see the factory, and that you can enjoy this too now! Best wishes!

Did you get any time to sightsee?
I got to walk around the Bad Berleburg village a little bit, but I’d love to visit again to see the sights!
I also saw a bit of Düsseldorf which was pretty nice 😊 I wanna go in summer next time though!

We went inside the factory right before lunch break so most of them were probably on their break 😊
NOBLE & COOLEY tour is amazing. They are the oldest drum manufacturer

They were! Depending on the department, but I saw a lot of safety gear during my tour 🙌🔥

No, it's just a rollable mounting platform. Back when Nicko was still at SONOR, the colleagues decorated it with wrap left over from Nicko's set ☺️ ... it's also existing with Mikkey Dee's MOTÖRHEAD design 😎
Nico McBrain is playing British Drum Co and probably will never leave now that he has a financial interest in the company.
