Like your videos Moriah Alise. Great tips on starting a collection. I have bin an Art Collector for many years. While it may undoubtedly change over time one needs to have an idia of why one wants to collect, is it For Fun, Investment, or Love of Art or any cobination of reasons Etc... these will have a big impact on how and what one collects. While the internet is a great way to see lots of art fast and can be a great aid in the beginning or starting or expanding as an art collector I highly recommend getting out as much as possible to see Art in person. Much of the details and size of artworks even color are lost viewing art on the net thus impact of the art and depriving one of some really great art or sadly choosing poorly. Size does matter. ! If it's too big to display properly or too small it will not have the impact that one intended or thought it would. I recommend this book by Alan Bamberger The Art of Buying Art 2nd edition. It is very comprehensive and easy to understand and an easy read, whether you are just starting your collecting journey or bin around the block, it introduces one to not only how and what to bye but the art market and how it works and the pitfalls to watch out for. Most of all Enjoy the Journey.
