I have been on and off driving for 10 years as a learner (due to health issues) but i will never not reverse into a bay it was the first manoeuvre i was taught, once you have got it down and your confident you will prefer to reverse bay park. I have taken my test a couple days ago and oassed 1st time. Went out on my own yesterday for a food shop and it was soo freeing, you got this! 😊
Great driving! I passed 2 months ago and just did my first 4 hour drive out of London. It's super fun once you start gaining confidence. Although some cars going 60mph on small country roads will always be terrifying 😂😂

i have my test in november and im finding your videos so helpful to watch. i failed my test twice in my teens and just gave up, im now finally in a position where i can afford to learn again nearly 10 years later and im pretty confident on the roads this time. im realising watching this that ive never even been taught to reverse between two cars, and ive always been taught in an empty car park. do you think its worth me asking my instructor if i can practice parking between two cars? i didnt even think of the possibility of that happening on my test or do they always make sure youre in a quiet carpark?

I'm having lessons, 20 hours so far and I've been told to find biting point first before gas, I do stall atleast once every lesson. You teach gas then biting point, does that prevent stalling? What if you didn't realise you're on a slope and the car rolls back a little as soon as you take your foot off the break, will that be a fail?
My instructor doesn't give me a reference point for reverse bay parking. I do the 45° method, but he doesn't want me to choose a bay. Any advice on reference points as I'm struggling
45 degree is perffine and in the real world can be better as you're not too far from the space . As for reference point you know what you should be at when entering the space at 45 so to do the 3 line method drive past so your body is middle of the second bay past . Then put on full lock to the side you want to enter you'll know if correct as you will come to the same part as when you do the 45 method . If too wide you will need to go further forward when starting. Truthfully once you know how to park you won't use reference points it's more steer into space and with practice you'll know where to start. The problem with reference points it works till you go in a different car . It's strange you ain't choosing your own space . Use yourself as reference and when steering in think about where you wherevwhen you started and adjust from there . The main thing is watching around you and don't rush
