I’m doing my first ever lesson on 21st July .. I’m 58 😂 I’ve been watching your videos to get a sense of what it’s all about. I’ve never even sat in the drivers side ,I’m excited more than nervous. I will be learning in an automatic car and eventually taking my test in an automatic one. ❤
Hi Aman, I passed my driving test first time today with, 0 driving faults! I wanted to thank you for all that you do! Watching your mock tests and lessons have really helped me to identify my faults and how to correct them. I just wanted to thank you for creating content that is both entertaining and educational! X
I drive a semi automatic. I adore it. I can drive auto and not worry about the gears but then I've got the option of manual where I haven't got a clutch but have control of the gears. I live in a very hilly area and often start my journeys in manual but switch to auto when in town and lots of junctions, traffic etc
This is new information for me, as an American who would like to visit the UK one day (and would probably rent a car since I'm used to driving lol) that manual is still commonly used. Most cars I'm familiar with here are automatic. I've only ever driven a manual once in the almost 20 years I've been driving. Love the content!
Just found this channel and love it. I've been driving 30 years, failed 3 times for speeding , Fiesta RS Turbo learner car, changed instructor and passed 2 weeks later. Have never owned a normal car since passing, all performance cars, i have lead plates in my shoes according to friends .... it does make me wonder whether id pass a test now
It's a cute and lighthearted video, but it shows how seasoned drivers fall out of a habit of checking blind spot. And it terrifies me as I cycle quite often.
I would really like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your videos. They really helped me a lot!! I have passed my driving test today. Many thanks again 👍🏻❤
i am actually learning right now just done my 6th lesson. i had seen one of your shorts abut the spiral roundabouts and we actually did them today and my instructor said that what i was doing was almost perfect so thank you for your videos.
She is adorable, but honestly, I wish that experienced drivers took safe driving more seriously. The moment they get comfortable in driving, everyone makes up their own mind about what's not necessary. I mean not checking the blindspots is so careless and dangerous and it has nothing to do with experience.
You should have told her (and the viewers) the correct way to check pressure in case the manual gets lost (its all on the inside of the door), and also how to check the pressures too (there's a tyre pressure tool, you can also check via the pump itself in a lot of cases too). I believe it was 2018 the rules changed about learners. So many drivers are apprehensive about going on motorways, because they never drove them as a learner, so I think thats why the rule was introduced - to be able to familiarise learners with how to join and exit a motorway etc
Hi Aman,I passed my driving exam yesterday. I've been watching your mock tests, shorts and lessons which were truly helpful. I couldn't book any instructors to practise since everyone was fully packed for the next 3 months upfront. Your videos were my only hope. I'm really grateful to you. Many thanks again❤❤❤.
Took me way too long to realise this was Dorchester! I’m teaching my boyfriend to drive at the moment and going to take him there next week and practice!
I loved watching this- I passed my test 1st time 10 months ago- the examiner was so evil, she took me on the school route while the school was coming out, made me pull up on the left on a hill near said school (she also gave me a minor saying a car was letting me go when I could clearly see she was yelling on the phone and looking for a space to park, she hadn't even left me space to pull off as she was right next to me), then she made me parallel park on the narrowest street ever and to top it off I got the emergency stop. The one nice part was when the show/tell me Q was honk the horn. I mean to top it off I encountered something I'd never encountered before which was the barriers coming down for a train/tram- I stopped but know someone that failed bc they didn't. That lady is also known as the 'ice queen' as she has one of the lowest pass rates at the centre in my area with the lowest pass rate. The odds were against me, she kept asking me abt uni which was going horribly and I somehow pulled off in second and didn't stall it (IK it's possible in many cars but not great). Needless to say I was thoroughly tested and feel I am a better driver for it
4:08 - She didn't check her right blindspot before moving off the first time either - at 3:12 that blindspot check would need to be rechecked after that amount of time right? Driving with one had should also be an issue and moving off without holding the wheel 7:37
Thank you Charlotte for taking part in this.😊 Good tell me question in beginning of show me tell me question.😅 Nice dress Aman and lovely necklace.😮 Summer is here!❤ 9:55 bad way to fail. 13:57 good question from Aman for learners watching. 15:47 very hidden this road signs because of Leaves.
Thank you for the video. Cant wait for more. Was a nice drive. Unfortunately reminded me of my grandma's driving when you have to hold on for dear life and wondered how did they ever get their license. Agreed with the assessment but was interesting to watch.thank you and have a good night.
As a current learner - YES to learners on motorways! A driver with virtually no experience unleashed onto the biggest road they've ever been on with nobody there to give instruction or guidance? That's how they, or others, get killed. At least with an instructor with dual controls there is somebody there telling you exactly what to do, how to do it, and they have the ability to take over if needed. That has to be safer.
This video was fab, my cheeks ache from laughing along with you both. Love the names for the cars, Mias Mustang mentioned 😍. Well done Char for your driving even with your few faults, nice view of the areas you were in.
I loved this! I’ve been so excited to watch this one 😊 My instructor really drummed “tyres and tarmac” into me….when I was out practising my driving with my husband, he tried to say it but it came out “t*ts and teeth” 😂😂 I told my instructor and she accidentally nearly said it to a pupil 😂😂 Loved the part where Charlotte said “I thought you just had a bad neck” 😂 I also love the fact that the car is called Marj ❤ Mine is called Arthur but I got him before I started watching The Nursery Nurse otherwise I’d probably have used one of their names!
Well that 100% entertainment and shame about the result! Thanks Charlotte and Aman it was fun. I passed second time too, I wonder how many would pass another Test now!

This was actually really interesting to see an experienced driver's habits. She can obviously drive really well, but maybe blindspots checking wasnt emphesised a much 20 years ago when she took her test? I know others who when driving with me as a learner seemed perplexed at me checking my blindspots, maybe it really wasnt 'a thing' back then?
I learned over 20 years ago, and checking in your mirrors and blind spot was definitely just as big a thing in lessons/test then. However, as an experience driver, you kinda build up a constant awareness of what's around and coming up behind you by watching the central/side mirrors. So when you've only stopped briefly, you don't feel the need to check the blind spots, because you know there's nothing there. For example, pulling away from that emergency stop, Charlotte had stopped so briefly, I'm not sure what the point of a blind spot check would be. However, other times when she pulled off, she definitely should have checked her blind spot.
If everyone on the nursery nurse did a mock test to help Carly not be nervous with you as the instructor would be the most iconic cross over ever!!
That would be brilliant!!
