There's nothing like it in Hollywood history, and in just ~3 years. His personal favorite was "Cid", I believe. "Hur" is the most famous. But, I'm with you... "Kings" is tops.

I cried for hours,afterwards, it touched me so deeply, and then I prayed deeply,lets just say I had an 'experience' !! at 62 1/2 yrs of age it has never left me!! it is soo sacred ,holy and special to me. Totally agree. Was Jesus fair skinned with light blue eyes? Likely not. But I firmly believe that he was a handsome and a charismatic guy. I know it’s shallow, but we as humans are more inclined to listen to and follow people who are nice on the eyes and charismatic. And Jesus had many followers. I saw this film first time when I was 6 y.o. Now I am 49. First time in English, I am from Argentina, so I saw it in the dubbed version. My mum died when I was 8, and she was a fervent catholic. I grew up with these great movies. Their will never be any movies to replace these classics. King of Kings, Ben Hur ( while it still has nothing to do with Easter it always played at Easter) and The Greatest Story ever told. They always bring back wonderful memories of a beautiful holiday. While as a kid I acquainted Easter with chocolate filled baskets but as an adult it’s a feeling of renewing, love and being close to my family when mom made Easter dinner and we would all watch these moves in the afternoon.
