    Wicked riding man, I can only imagine your smile considering how much I was grinning! Some pretty darn sweet trails there.

      That's a great idea, I haven't seen Zach or Dane in a while since we moved!

    Mind if I just call you Mr. Manual, lol? (seriously, I want a lesson) That is a fun trail! Cool to see a more techy downhill trail video in the mix with bigger descents. Hope you rode Lair of the Bear after :) Saving my pennies to update my Mojo SL. Once you spend some time on these bikes, it is hard to think about getting anything other than an Ibis...

      Lair of the Bear is awesome!!! Glad to hear you're enjoying the SL, that is a great bike!

    Jeff,
    I might be riding Mt. Galbraith over labor day weekend from Colorado. Looks like you climb the same trail and then loop off of that depending on what trail you want to do? This trail looks perfect for what I want any other suggestions. I enjoy climbing to a great descent. I am researching and not lazy, and hey, you offered.

      More or less yes! Hit up Evolution to unemployment line to atomic dog for the classic Galby run, then pedal back up and hit pumptrack to radical dragon. Then pedal back up a third time and hit das autobahn to irish death to lair of the bear. boom!

    Jeff, your creativity and skill on a bike is always inspiring to watch! Just curious, but since I've seen videos with you riding many of the places in the PNW that I ride (Galbraith, Duthie, and I'd venture a guess you've ridden Tiger Mountain, etc), I figure it is worth a shot to ask which bike you would recommend from Ibis' lineup (Ripley, Mojo 3, HD4) to best cover as much different riding as possible (think XC, Back country, to black jump trails at Duthie, to DH trails at an average pace).

    • @JeffKendallWeed
      @JeffKendallWeed  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there Hot Dish, I think one's riding style and preference would really determine which bike would work best. "Average pace" means that the HD4 is probably overkill. I think most folks would prefer a Ripley or Mojo 3 as a daily rider. Mojo 3 if you need something to fit plus tires (awesome on the rocks) or Ripley if you're tall enough to run a 150mm dropper!

    • @HotDishMan
      @HotDishMan 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the response Jeff! I think you're right in saying that the HD4 would be overkill as most days I'm not trying for race pace on the downhills. On the off chance I race an enduro for fun I'm sure I could probably scrape by on a smaller travel bike, or ride my Norco Range for that single day. I will look to focus my money spent towards demos on the Mojo 3 and Ripley LS (5'9" so a 150mm dropper is in the cards). Thanks again for the advice, and can't wait to see more of your incredible content in the future!

    What size tires do you run?

  • @ArcticPride1
    @ArcticPride1 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    is that the bike creaking or noise from the camera?

    • @JeffKendallWeed
      @JeffKendallWeed  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had the camera mounted sort of weirdly, thus the noise. Thanks for watching!

      Was able to get on an HD4 today, fun bike, liked it much more than the 3!

    • @JeffKendallWeed
      @JeffKendallWeed  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      AWESOME! I love the HD4. I really think it's the best bike Ibis has ever made. I'm running it with a 170mm fork, and with the burly X2 rear shock, there's not much it can't handle.

    OMG, if I see you on the trail, i'm going to tackle you and correctly trim and tie up those cables! Seriously though, excellent riding! #ocd

    • @JeffKendallWeed
      @JeffKendallWeed  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ha! I would love to shorten these cables, but I've been to 6 countries in the last 2 weeks alone- it's been a busy summer, and just keeping my bikes rolling smooth has taken priority over the cable lengths!

    Enjoyed your video as always. The sound is horrible though almost sounds like your recording underwater. Are you using a gopro hero 5?

    • @iamkaioken
      @iamkaioken 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I used to experience that all the time as well. I found using that little while rubber plug wedged in the mount reduces that crackling to almost nothing. I wager that'd do the trick. The GoPro is essentially rattling in the mount...granted this may differ greatly with the session models...I've only experienced up to a Hero3BE.

      @TheMoreWeExplore 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Efren Delarosa I ended up ditching botg my hero 5 blacks because of the same audio issues. Gopro refused to acknowledge anything was wrong. Now I shoot on a Sony x3000. TONS better picture and audio , but now I can't find a gimbal that works with it...
      I should have kept my hero 4 blacks for chest moubt shots on a gimbal...

    • @efrendelarosa8971
      @efrendelarosa8971 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The More We Explore lanparte i think is called has a gimble that converts to a wearable gimble, but you also have to buy the part that converts it from a gopro mount to the sony action cam mount. Pilotfly has one as well specifically for the sony but has a cable to convert it from handheld to chest mount. I also shoot on a sony action cam as-200v. Couldn't be happier
