*Correction* When I said BLU-109 in the video I meant to say the BLU-107 Durandal Hey guys! I hope this video helps you out, and if you follow these tactics, you will never miss a long skinny target like a bridge or runway with dumb bombs ever again! Also keep in mind that these tactics apply to any aircraft and delivery mode in DCS World! Disclaimer: I was Flying OCA in the PG1997 event so the nitty gritty of the strike plan was unknown to me
Nice video. However you should measure the width of the runway on your course line and divide the distance by number of bombs to set the interval. If you set the interval too long there is the potential of the bombs straddling the runway. We use a 25 to 45 degree offset, with the object of getting at least one on the runway. This was/is RAF tactics taught by our OC, a retired Wing commander, DFC, AFC, who we are lucky enough to have flying with us, and passing down this information.
Thanks for another concise video. Have been struggling in one of the missions I have taking out a convoy with lots of AA fire in the F18. I need to try lofting like this.
Why isnt the cdip system take known wind speed and direction (visible on ufc panel) and offset the piper for a good delivery in wind conditions? Was it too complex at the time (2000-2010) for onboard cpus to calculate?
Honestly you did better then most people whould on this planet as even in singleplay and War thunder and AC7 there are people with your experience who can't get a 70% or so kill death ratio.
@@Spectre-907 Also if we are totally honest I never tried DCS multiplayer because of how toxic this community tends to be to people not in their in group... Where as WT and AC7 have match makers were you can hop in have fun and get out... also WT simulates the chaos of peer on peer air combat well and AC7 you need to be a real ace pilot to get 1st even in the Gen 6s when other are flying Gen 4 no pluses. Where as DCS it depends on the server and what the hosts want their meta to be... Never have I seen a DCS match play out like a real air battle/war does instead on GS's server it's BVR everyday unless your an Avce then get banned for being an Ace or enngima's who ban's anyone for littly not playing his perfect meta... of fly around randomly asking the all knowing command for 1v1s or CAS targets. Also Grimmreapers are focused on getting free cast for their show and spudknocker people to train... and like I said each group hates the other and will ban you for saying "Can we all get along?"
wtf are you talking about udde all i said is you cant compare "arcade pvp" games with sim pvp, because they are fundamentally different to the very core. Its like talking about getting loadout drops in Forza. I said nothing about the communities or whatever that essay was supposed to be about @@GreenBlueWalkthrough

That is precisely the same tactic, though not the toss bombing, that the RAF Vulcan used in the BLACKBUCK mission to deny Port Stanley runway in 1982.
Yep! It basically guarantee’s hits on target!
Always enjoy your videos and this one is perfect timing for me as I am working through the finer points of A2G in the Hornet - thanks for posting!
No problem dude! There’s bit of Hornet 🐝 at the end of the video!
Great video Spud! Good to learn a new tactic we can use to improve our mission success.
Absolutely! Im glad it helped you out!
If a runway need decommissioning I usually just try and “land” on it 😬
Masterful, masterful, masterful
Beautiful man. Well done.
Amazing video! Thank you!
Nice tutorial, thanks for the video 😀
Spuuuuud! Thanks for the video!
excellent, never knew this tactic, well explained :)
Thanks man! It makes a huge difference!
That aint right, Spud. They're called, "Developmentally atypical bombs."
Ah, I thought they were called, different Nero-divergent, special snowflake bombs hahaha 😂

That was excellent.
Thank you Mann

You cannot compare air quake like warthunder or ace combat kdrs with dcs. Entirely different games Fundamentally too different environments
@@Spectre-907 Not really... that's just a toxic m,indset we need to get out of gaming in it's interity.

love the video, but that is why they created the BLU107s
Oh crap I accidentally mixed up saying blu107 and 109 in the video haha
They weren't missing those players were targeting the taxi way
What soundtrack are you playing? Very 80s like.
