EDIT: I hadn’t got an answer from them about the type of hair in the brush, but Lindsey from @thefrugalcrafter reviewed the 36 set and got confirmation it’s a mixed hair brush, which for me unfortunately is a disadvantage since I don’t buy brushes with animal hair, so there’s that to consider. I still like the paints, but were I to buy a set I wouldn’t get one knowingly containing a natural hair brush.
I have that small Hot Press watercolor journal. Love it! I bought it by accident ( pushed the wrong circle thing) as I was ordering their Cold Press to try😊 Turns out, my pens & watercolor pencils love it as much as my paints. Colors are vibrant, good flow with the water. It’s also sturdy. I’m almost finished it & no binding issues. I take it everywhere. (I do urban sketching) I’ll be ordering another (& a Cold Press) on my payday. Pleasantly surprised how much I like it. Thanks for showing the paints, they look wonderful in tone. I would say the one after the Ochre is an India red / Burnt Sienna mix (gorgeous), after that Venetian red, Burnt Umber, next to that Walnut Brown. Three of those browns, I absolutely love.
Is a great portable sketchbook isn’t it? The earth tones are very nice also. I was surprised as usually, earth tones are not the strong point of Asian manufacturers.
Happy you got some merch...😃 BaoHong and Leyton (both chinese) are my favorite brands for cotton watercolor paper atm. Great value for my money. I've got more than enough paints here so I stay strong and don't buy any new ones...probably... Thank you for this video!
Hi guys! I’m back from holidays and bringing you a new release of fresh watercolour products for you. You’ll see me swatching the 24 pan set and testing the 100% cotton sketchbook from Lightwish, a new to me company selling on Amazon. These were sent to me free of charge for a review, but I am in no way endorsed or paid by the company. Are they good? Well, watch and find out! PS.: Check the discount code in the description for 15% OFF
That’s good to know, I actually thought the sketch book was the Lightwish swatch book, I had seen else where on YT, the grid was so neat and looked a bit like the one in their printed swatch book. It’s a watercolour book already drawn up with grids for swatching paint.

Great swatching video, the paints look well worth a try. What did you think of the swatch book?
Thank you 😊 the little sketchbook? It’s good quality cotton paper, nice and compact. I shared some paintings I did on it on my Instagram in October

I see what you mean now, I’ve seen that, but haven’t tested it myself. I made my own grid and swatch sheet from scratch 😅
