I've done solo camping in tent and car all over the US, and in so-called BF hot spots. Mt Shasta, Provo canyon Utah, Great Smokey Mountains, etc. Most of the high strangeness I've experienced was in Maryland and PA. Seen orbs, heard vocals, wood knocks, rock clacking, and have even had a couple possible sightings, one more recently of a cinnamon colored subject peeking at me from behind a large woodpile while I played Native American flute.
This was in a heavily wooded area not that far up the Potomac river from D.C.

I would be more concerned about mountain lions. They aren’t officially recognized as being in New York, but I’ve heard so many stories from friends who hike and hunt or otherwise spend time in the Adirondacks that I believe they’re here. And unlike Sasquatches, which I also have no trouble believing are here, mountain lions are definitely a danger to humans.

      @dellingerderek  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

Great point. I've never seen any myself, nor any signs of any, but compared to anything else they're by far the most dangerous. I've run into dozens of black bears, too, but never met any that meant to threaten me.

@@dellingerderek - You don't even want to know what it feels like to awaken to a living waking nightmare, like I did twice in very dark woods on a farm in southwestern Ohio. Do you think that you could handle being close enough to touch a sasquatch? I didn't have a choice. Being very closely surrounded by it's good sized clan on three sides was probably the worst (best) part.

Also with tripwire and bells all around my camp, so I can be alerted to something in the area, before it gets to my tent, giving me time to prepare. Also, a big bottle of bear spray + a knife or two. Never know when a mountain lion might jump on your back and bite you from behind. Multiple layers of defense is good, not just one tool. Different situations call for different tools.

I was born and currently live in New England, but never had a bigfoot experience. However, I lived in the northern Sierra Nevada's where I camped every weekend from May to late Oct. for 5 years. It was in the Tahoe National forest that I had a one-time experience. Deep in the forest, miles from anything, I was hiking around and heard the screaming of a woman (like bloody murder). This went on and off for twenty minutes until we left the area. A very creepy, scary experience indeed. This, is one of their many warning signs. I am most definitely a believer. I also believe they are an ancient being with telepathic abilities, can disappear at will, and are somehow involved with UFO's. They also can detect the EMF of game cameras, etc. Ontario Sasquatch is an amazing channel. Mike has made contact with them and has befriended them. Thank you for sharing this video.

Exactly! All those footprints, hundreds, if not thousands of sightings, gotta think at least ONE out of the lot has to be genuine.
I get a kick out of people who complain the modern pictures are too shaky and blurry, like they don't know that unless you have a zoom lens with you, you're gonna have to get up close because these cell phones might have good cameras on them, they aren't good for distance. Not to mention, of course the pics are gonna be shaky, you see something walking toward you that's between 8 and 12 feet tall and built like a brick sh*thouse, you're gonna be shaking. Nobody's going to be able to keep their composure under those circumstances

I live in Montana and do allot of back country camping. Places nobody goes too. I do not take any human trails that hunters have used or anyone else. I do follow animal trails. And the only thing I have ever heard was something taking a big branch and hitting a tree. But it hits the tree once. Then waits a few minutes. Then it keeps doing it. Just a big thump. I have been lucky with animals. Having seen mountain lions 3 times. And black bears of many different colors. Cinnamon and all black. Black with a white spot on the chest. And dark brown ones. But no howels but from coyotes. And a yelp from a fox. And a little Martin which is a little weasel looking animal that ran over my sleeping back as I was laying down. I do not use a tent. And do not light camp fires. Because I prefer things not to know I am there smelling the smoke. I do not carry a gun but have many. But do carry a Bowie knife. I travel lite. But carry a gallon of water. I have found were something has broken off pine branches and made itself a big soft spot to lay on. And have found dead animal skulls and bone. And a dead deer and two dead elk. But could not tell what killed them. More then like either died from being sick. Or killed by a grizzle. But grizzle usually bury their kill. So who knows. I enjoy camping in the wild. You hear all kinds of noises at night. Things walking around where I lay down. It's great. No sounds but what lives in the wild. No cars or trucks in the distance. Just nature. I have been doing this for over 26 years and have never had a problem with anything. And going alone. There is no talking going on to scare things away. No footsteps but my own. And I wear moccasins so I am not making allot of noise walking. I avoid stepping on any small branches so the sound of it snapping does not happen.

@@dellingerderek I live off the grid on a mountain. And bears have left claw marks on the outside of my cabin. And nothing can be left outside or it will be chewed up. Paint cans or gas cans. One bear flattened two of my tires biting threw the side wall. I had some garbage in the house to bring to the dump. A bear with their sensitive smell. I was sleeping heard a bear clawing at my door. But it's common so I think nothing of it. But this bear gots it's claws on the bottom corner of my insulated door. They are just sheet metal on both sides and foam in the middle. The bear bent the corner and pushed it in. Enough to get it's head in. I heard the door bending. Got out of bed. With both hands pushed the bears head out while bending the corner of the door down with my knee. Then had a 2x4 and some 16 penny nails in the house. And nailed it on both sides of the walls of my log cabin. So the bear could not keep pushing the corner of the door up. Then when it got light. I climbed out my back window. Drove to town and bought a solid door. The bear was not trying to get in to attack me. It just smelled the trash and was trying to get in to get it. I do not blame the bear. If I was starving. And had no money or food. I would be in a dumpster looking for anything to eat too. I moved to the wilderness to be with the wildlife. Not to be against it. My life has been a adventure living the way I do. And having grown up in a city. Where life was easy. Just flip a switch. Or take a shower in the house. Or turn on a facet for water. Just plow the driveway with a snow blower. I gave those things up. And it's a much more physical life. And your on your own. And you got to be careful and lucky enough not to get hurt. Or your going to die. But living in fear and dread is not a life I would want to live. So I do not worry about it. You can die just as easy in hundreds of ways living in a city. I do not live thinking everything is out to get me. Oh no a bear or mountain lion. They could care less about me. 🙂

Wouldn't bother me i always have one of my trusty hot lead slingers with me when I go out camping especially if I'm by myself worst case scenario I'd have to fill big foot full of lead I wouldn't want to but if it comes down to me or big foot or a bear cougar they breath and bleed so i can kill it if necessary been hunting for over 30 years, the only thing that makes me nervous is being in the Forrest the mountain and all of a sudden the Forrest go silent that makes nervous especially if happen at night make thr hair on the back of your neck stand up , Bigfoot ain't bullet proof so i not worried about it i would not want to kill one but if I don't have a choice i pick me my safety at least we would finally have undoubtble proof and scientists can learn more about them

Would I stay there now @ 58, after 7 surgeries on each foot, 3 lower back surgeries, 21 total? HECK NO! I have been into the subject of Sasquatch since way before the internet and my beliefs agree with the 1000+ years stories of indigenous peoples all over this planet, that know they are the people of the forest, a real undocumented hominid that needs to be respected and left alone.
    Would I have stayed there 30 years ago?.....HECK NO!!...hahahaha

I tend to fall on the side of "there's more to it than we understand." Which I think is the case with a lot of what we think we know, anyway! The universe has a tricky way of never being quite what we expect it to be.

Its changed the way i hunt, the way i spend time in the outdoors and i do not let children in my family get more than a few steps away from me while in the woods. Theyve never harmed me, but they have messed with me and damaged my hunting stands. I dont want to spend the night with them.
I dont like them and i dont trust them.

Hi Derek awesome content! I never really knew New York has so much wilderness. It's crazy to think this creature could exist there. But then again I live in Southern California and while taking a short cut on a dirt road out near nowhere at all I saw a good set of track in which I casted the following day. I've been an avid hiker well over 35 years and although I've never had a visual sighting, the tracks, screams and presence of this creature has helped me build a case for myself to believe this is a real biologically breathing heavy in think mode animal. I very much enjoyed this video. You have a new subscriber.
    Thank You

Thank you so much for the kind words and sharing your thoughts! I feel similarly to you, I think. It's always healthy to be open to things that might seem bizarre at first, given enough evidence and experience.
If you ever visit the area, you really can't go wrong hiking up in the Adirondacks! It's a special place, for sure.
