Chan Gailey was fired cause he was the first Cowboys coach to not get to the Super Bowl. Dave Campo was fired cause he couldn't get the team to the playoffs. Bill Parcells should've been fired also cause he couldn't win a playoff game or division title with him. Wade Philips was fired after his 4th season until Jason Garrett took over until he was released after the 2019 season. Mike McCarthy? Can he do something?
-Aikman’s last NFL playoff game -Emmitt Smith’s last NFL playoff game (99 rushing yards & 1 touchdown) -Deion Sanders last NFL playoff game as a Cowboy -Erik Williams last NFL playoff game -Jeff George first and last NFL playoff win as a Viking -Gailey’s last playoff game as coach for the Cowboys
I'd really be interested seeing Aikman play in this day and age. Dallas was so run-heavy that his numbers don't jump out at you, but I felt like he had all the tools.
Imagine Montana, Elway, Marino, Fouts, Moon, Kelly and so on playing in this two hand touch era on the QB NFL. Aikman wasn’t great under a serious pass rush, but the rules of today, I think he’d be comparable to Joe Burrow.
As the old saying goes, "he heard footsteps". Dwayne Rudd was a very fast linebacker who at full speed could chase down wide recievers. Deon saw him coming and took his eye off the ball.
Vikings: Hey Rams, remember what happened the last time we played you in the playoffs after you went undefeated at home in the regular season? How bout last season? You ready for round 2? You got fat on a cupcake schedule, now you gotta face a real team. Rams:........
The Cowboys had leads and then just fell apart in the second half. A good example they had 10 point plus leads against the Colts and Vikings and they fell apart in the second half. They had a lead against the Eagles in Philly and they blew that. Once Michael Irvin went down that was it for the Triplets Cowboys. They went 5-11 until 2003 when Bill Parcells came along.
These teams played each other three times in the span of a calendar year from November 1999 to November 2000 and the scores were almost identical. The Vikings won the three games 27-17, 27-10 and 27-15.
The Cowboys would go 0-4 against the Vikings from '98 to 2000. And Randy Moss was a big reason for that. Moss scored 8 TDs against Dallas in that two year span, Dallas wouldn't play the Vikings again until 2004, and i think Jerry Jones had something to do with that.
Probably no better than they fared against 3-deep. Unless it was one of those things where the Vikings were the only team to have their number. Hmmm, come to think of it. Deion Sanders vs Isaac Bruce.
How does TH-cam generate this from me watching super bowl 30?😭 2021 cowboys 7-4. Love me some football and that was moss for 5 catches 127 yards I believe. Ssheeeesh
This was officially the end. Those next three seasons would be the most painful years as a cowboys fan.
😂
Getting closer that soon you might have to add a zero to that three, as they’re getting close to 30 years without a Super Bowl appearance.
As NYG fan I loved it lol
Dave Campo 5 11 years.
Lmao
Jeff George had a cannon
Jeff George's only playoff win.
And an enormous ego
Chan Gailey's last game as Cowboys HC. Afterwards he was fired after 2 seasons and Dave Campo would be hired as Cowboys new HC
He was fired two days after this game. Still the only Cowboys HC to never miss the playoffs despite only coaching the team for two seasons.
Then Campo went 5-11 three seasons in a row.

@@peterblue2708They’re going on thirty years of not doing much.
Dallas had been on the decline, but this one was the end.
Kind of the last gasp of an aging dynasty.
It would have been interesting to see how Dallas' defense might have fared against the greatest show on turf.
They were 8-8 and old and tired.

The ball came out of Jeff George's hand like it was shot out of a cannon. What an arm.
Jeff George's only playoff win.
1999 was kind of a weird year.
Dallas, San Francisco and Denver all hit some major declines.
And some teams rose- like the Rams, Titans, Bucs, and Colts!
@@AmirKhan-yv8jmjags 14-2
@02:27 Jeff George touchdown pass 😲😲😲
George was really on fire by this point. Unfortunately the defense failed to make the trip south next week
George's career is the definition of boom or bust... literally year to year lol You had no idea what you were going to get out of the guy.
Jeff George had the talent, but he never had the heart.

That Sanders fumble was terrible.

Doubt they came in with that approach.
This was really kind of the end of it for Dallas.

Vikings finished off the Cowboys Dynasty in this one.
Basically Coach Jason Garrett is a copy of Berry Switzer 😂 and Chan’s Gailey
Vikings were the only offense outside of week 1 Washington and Indy on Halloween to really take it to Dallas' defense in '99

@Jonathan Dee The One And Only Not with Jerry Jones around. At least, McCarthy is respectable.
The Cowboys' last postseason game until 2003.

Fun Fact: Chan Gailey was the first head coach to take the Cowboys to the playoffs and fail to win a postseason game.
2:26 what a throw
That's about 60-65 yards in the air on a rope. George didn't have an arm, he had a cannon attached to his shoulder.
