I ordered some Jobmaster's January '23. Nothing special except my size, 16D. They still haven't started building. There was no 19 month wait when I ordered. I'm considering going back to my credit card issuer and forcing a refund from Wesco. I'm never ordering anything else from them ever again!
@@timw8228 What bothers me is to see a maker advertise releases of ready-to-ship boots when they’ve had my order (and money) for nearly a year. I understand the desire to grow the business but it still is annoying. For me, there are too many other good brands to wait a year or two.
@@timw8228I would probably do the same.. you're better off spending the extra buying them from a vendor.. or getting them used from Ebay or Grailed... thanks for stopping by!
@ 19:37 i was talking about Maryam vs Horween horse leather.. what i meant to say was, even though i wanted Maryam.., Ive heard Brian the Bootmaker (Role Club) , his favorite leather is Horween CXL horsehide.. Basically just me saying, ' well if that's the case, it must be pretty damn good anyway' ..
Great review. They are sharp! Wesco makes some really nice looking boots. Yup, you have loose grain in the vamp. That's the Horween horse causing that, it wrinkles easily. The shafts will look killer with time and once broken-in. Enjoy them.
yea i remember seeing that post recently talking about horsehide striations.., i made this video a lil before that.., just hadn't gotten around to releasing it, lol.. thanks for all your input in the groups ,, definitely the kinda posts/commentsi look for 👊
Great review. Great review. It's my understanding that the Maryam Tannery only does Veg tan. In the future this is a good way to tell if its Horween or Maryam
@dcpower23 when I ordered it on Ebay I had no way of knowing and then finally they messaged me back.. so i did get to find out right before they arrived technically.. and thank you for watching the review 👊
hey, good question.. Yes.. all Wesco boots come with shanks.. Steel shanks are the standard type for all their shanks.. I'm pretty sure you could request a different type of shank if doing a custom boot.. they might be willing to do leather or fiberglass shanks on request, which may impact the price.. particularly a leather option.. Most other PNW boot brands use leather shanks only.. ( White's, Nick's, Frank's, JK, etc..) but then a company like Viberg or John Lofgren, they use steel shanks..
I said 36rd month!! Smh.. i meant 36th week.. 36th week of 2023.. my fault
My favorite pair of boots. Got mine in black Maryam horsebutt and been loving them ever since I got em
I love your boots they are so awesome 👍🏻
Mine has the same wrinkled grain leather on the left boot and the right boot is marked Horween just like yours
I have a a pair of the rough out leather Wesco I love them.
Nice boots! They are a single midsole while the whites are double mid soles. Good video ! Thx for sharing.
The "normal" wait on Wescos is crazy. Excellent pickup. Thanks for the info on sizing.

I wonder if that stain on the inside was glue from the sock liner?
Hi, does the wesco mr Lou have a shank?
