I do have a couple questions though. 1) Have you recently changed or modified your Lasts recently? 2) If the “D” width are your “in shop standard” why do your sellers all stock and sell “E” width Wesco’s? In other words… why is it nearly impossible to find a standard D width from sellers such as Baker and Standard & Strange? I’ve broached this question with several of your sellers- they say, “the E is a D in Wesco” I really hope you start producing D width boots again for the American market. I own a pair of 8D Mr. Lou’s that i bought from Iron Heart about 3 years ago, my Brannock measurement is 9D, I could not ask for a better fitting engineer boot! I would purchase a second pair, if only I could find a D width again.
Ugh, why must my sizing always be difficult. Have a pair of Mister Lous and they fit so damn good, bought a pair of Jobmasters LTT in the same size, and they're too small. Stupid feet 🤦♂️ But regardless, this was still an excellent deep dive.
@@smelltheglove1726 Hi, my Mister Lou boots are size 10D, which as Chris mentioned, is the equivalent to 10C from other bootmakers. And that is actually in line with my experience with other bootmakers. I have narrow low volume feet and do need narrow boots, so I wear size 10C in the 55 last that is used by many PNW boot makers. Those 10D Jobmasters that I tried though, absolutely didn't work out. Just wasn't meant to be. They seemed very well built though.
I ordered a pair of custom Wesco 20" Boss in Feb 2022. I finally received them. I was totally disappointed with them. The leather is totally different from the one that my older boots have. The new leather is so much thinner and feel cheap. The current quality falls short of my expectations.
Yeet! Can't wait for my next pair What last would you recommend for a low heel and an unsprung toe? I'm a courier, i (don't) run about 10 miles per day in mostly urban environments. I'm required to wear leather boots that go at least above my ankle.
How strange that the low heel lasts run larger. It’s the opposite with Nicks. With the lower heel last not “shortening” your foot like the higher arch lasts, the result is about 1/2 size shorter. My 11E HNW run 1/2 size shorter than my 11E 11067’s
I sure wish Wesco was more transparent with their lasts. I know they have numbers & names, just tell us. This video was the perfect opportunity for that; I really don't understand.
Wesco is a smaller company than the other PNW manufacturers in a small town without any other nearby competitors to pull from. I guarantee it's not easy for them to fill positions.

Specify a D width when you order. Simple.

sizing in video brought up more questions. It was confusing. My width is 4 1/16 inch. My length is 10 1/4 . What size is my boot ??
