I just bought a pair of james benchmade boots in oil tanned roughout! Its absolutely amazing i ordered the size 12 d and it fits perfect! Im a 12 d in most boots but im a 13 sneaker size so idk maybe it varies depending on the person i guess everyones feet is different lol great video man!
@@JacobMatlock ya people’s feet are shaped different. I have prominent big toes that often hit side of vamp. You wear the Ariats with the foam insole they come with, I assume?
@@bladecentered2264 you won’t be disappointed. The bang for the buck on the Bench Made line is insane. I’m hoping they bring out some new models that aren’t short boots (I saw they did add some shorty crap to the Bench Made line a couple months ago).
Great looking boots! Thinking about getting me a pair. Quick question...do you know what the heel counter is made out of? Is it plastic or veg-tanned leather?
Those are great looking boots. You make a great point. You don’t need every boot to be made of heavy duty, work leather. Once you’ve got that covered, lighter, everyday type light duty boots, will help make your accumulated footwear much more versatile.
@@ArtisanVaquero they are so comfortable out of the box. No need to break in. Compared to PNW style boots these feel like comfortable slippers. Incredible comfort with the soft uppers and foam insole. So good.
Totally unrelated. But could you maybe talk about some of your favorite boot leathers that you’ve tested? Would love to get your insight! Nice vid, keep it up 👍
@@jonas5309 ya man I can. I was thinking of making some videos like this. The one I wanted to talk about first is heel counters. I’ll put leather types on my list too. Thanks for suggesting this!
Awesome looking boots, the heel stack and edge kinda reminds me of Nicks , I agree with you about getting away from the heavy duty boots, I myself like the wax flesh boots and the predator stuff
@@joshuaricks7882 ya the Horween stuff is still very though, but allows your foot to push against any spots that might be slightly tight. The Seidel work leathers are so tough, they don’t allow much give at all.
@@joshuaricks7882 I hope they make that “Ember” Waxed Flesh become an option for MTO’s. I don’t care for Carl’s new boot (I can’t do Tankers), but the leather is incredible. Gonna hold out for it being an option.

@EDHBlvd yes I wear it with the insole same with my chisos 12 d both very comfortable yeah your right everyone fits differently.
Got my ariat benchmade boots for 199 or 200 great deal!
I just ordered a pair of the bassetts in roughout, they had a $199 sale, couldn't pass them up!

I can’t find these anywhere. Only the Bassett or the James.
@@2a2day looks like they only have Navy Rough Out left on site, also on sale. They must be clearing out these boots.

@@aldjock4514 they don’t clarify I don’t think. I just squeezed the heel counters and they feel pretty stiff.
@@gnarl12 these Ariats are far better constructed than OSB.
Wow, congrats! Very good thoughts for everyone, too.
Amazing pair. Great deal. Love that style

What a great value for good looking boots 👍
🤠Sounds like you have to break them in for about two months maybe three 🪵other than that great review I may have to purchase a pair. Thanks.🎉
