    What is your favorite controller for the Nintendo Switch? Share why!

    • @ThatGuy001
      @ThatGuy001 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So, i actually have the official switch pro controller, the Pro plus, and the pro 2. All of them are amazing, but if i have to choose, i'm gonna have to go with pro plus or pro 2 just because you can connect not only to the switch, but other devices as well
      Edit: one more thing that i love about pro plus or pro 2 is the d-pad. The official pro controller d-pad is not precise enough for me.

      Gulikit Kingkong 2 Pro. It has all the features that the switch pro controller has (Including Gyro, Wake switch up from sleep, and NFC). Eventhough there is no HD rumble, the rumble feels okay, and you can adjust the rumble up to 4 levels, including no rumble at all. It has APG (macro-like function) and turbo features (limited to abxy, r and zr buttons) which I don't really use, but it's there. There is also a feature where you can swap abxy button (not physical change, but the a and b + x and y function can be swapped), which you can use if you're used to xbox layout for switch. You can also use it if you're used to switch layout on pc, since the controller detected as xbox controller on pc. You can adjust both the sticks and triggers sensitivity, for instant the triggers can be changed from analog to digital on pc. And also, the features that I interested the most, Motion-sense aiming for FPS games on pc. Basically you can use gyro aiming on a game that doesn't even have gyro support. The way it work is that the gyro movement would be detected as right stick movement on the game.
      Enough for the features, the feels of this controller is really good. It similar to xbox one controller, with a lot more features! (except for the headphone jack, ofc, because it's advertised as switch third-party controller). Overall, I really like this controller.

    I have all of these controllers + binbok joycons. Pro controller is my main controller for 3d games while 8bitdo 2 pro is my main controller for 2d games, fighting games,sidescrollers, retro games. Basically any games where I use D-pad. Power A mini is great for traveling because its small and portable but still feels almost like a regular sized controller. And binbok joycons are for handheld use, they feel similiar to hori split pad pro but can still be used wirelessly and therefore its another extra controller for local multiplayer. So that way I have 4 "regular" controllers and 4 joycons which I can easily take to friends house during a party and we can play 8 player smash and hopefully 8 player mario strikers once it comes out!

    Pro all day. Best controller I’ve ever held by far. But I have smaller hands and I can see how people with larger hands can find it a bit cramped feeling especially after coming from something like an Xbox controller. Nice and honest review since you really wanted the 8bitdo to do better, you still pointed out it was not performance wise. But it seems like it is comfort wise. Mostly playing pokemon games so the latency doesn’t really matter for me. Looking into this one or the powerA enhanced controller but really loving the 8bitdo retro style and symmetrical sticks.. i’m also someone who plays games on PlayStation so really loving this design it’s like a mix between gameboy and playstation. I'd love to know:
    A) has a firmware update fixed the 8bitdo pro 2 lag?
    B) Would an 8bitdo dongle improve the lag.
    C) did you have more than one controller atatched to the switch, as there's a rumour the pro2 doesn't like sharing a console with other devices, and slows down in protest.

  • @Mindstormer

    I've noticed the latency on the 8bitdo pro 2 I think it has something to do with syncing with multiple devices. There are times when I try and play on my computer and the delays are up to 3 seconds. I want to say it's due to multiple syncs, but I think another part was an update they did a while back. When I first got the controller I don't think I had any lag. So I find it interesting.

  • @tamodolo
    @tamodolo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Expected with pro2 controller. The reason you're missing time with it is because the input delay of this controller is REALLY bad. It's astounishing 33ms!!! This is the single worst controller I ever used.
    Start to measure this in your reviews. There are tools to do that with easy on PC as input delay is calculated by 1000ms/polling rate (in Hz). The good polling rate over USB is 3.6ms (or 280Hz). For BT you can actually be faster. DS4 updates at 500Hz or ~1.5 ms (compare this to that crap 8bitdo makes that have 33 ms).
    Why do that? The polling rate adds to your setup input lag. Games that requires dextery will turn impossible to play with high input delay times. This way you will have an actual number to inform your audience what is actually good besides the build quality of the controller.
    As reference, the too high threshhold is 10ms.
