I don’t know why, but Jamie’s haircut brought a tear to my eyes. It was exactly what he needed. I can just imagine how he felt having to hold his hair down in the wind with the combover - and then his realization that a short cut could mean not having to do that again. Honestly, you seem to be the best, most passionate and thoughtful hairdresser there is. There's many more really great ones out there, but if there were only 5% more doing their job like you do, it would be a blessing. You understand what this job is really about: a craft combined with huge empathy. All with the purpose of really seeing a person and then make them look and feel the best possible version of themselves. Especially when it comes to men's hairdressers/barbers, there's often none of these features and depending where you are, getting a good cut can feel like gambling, even if you know exactly what you want.

I am addicted to these videos. These transformations are just …. awesome! I think there must be magic in Dan’s scissors! one of my favorite videos was of the young man with the thinning hair. I don’t recall his name. But the shorter hair seemed to draw more attention to his beautiful eyes.

I think they were alll brilliant but yes the number one was very touching .He was extremely young to loose his hair..I think the shorter style made it less obvious and him being quite fair was in his favour too.I hope the medication helps him,but what you did for him really did that was clear.He went out positive with hope.You do amazing work 🥰

Your cutting techniques are incredible. The scissoring is top-notch and you have an eye for your customer's best look. My mom went to school to get her license for barbering in the early 80's and loved it so much that she eventually got her level up to master barber in the early 90's.

Jamie's self confidence was blatamtly at point weary zero when he sat down in the chair . Then from when Dan began giving his opinion and advice ,Jamie began to visibly relax . Ithink he just knew he was in good hands and could trust him . The long top 'pull-over-cover' hair at the beginming looked like a false hair piece about to go AWOL at any minute 😂 At the end , I think that Jamie was truly overjoyed and his self esteem had been boosted beyond his dreams and wishes . Well that was a revelation on so many levels. As someone who never misses an episode (and is sad I live so far away), this was perfection. The humanity of your choices, these are all people who trust you implicitly and look to you for guidance, some more vulnerable than others but likely most are somewhat anxious. What you bring out of them then on to all of us viewers is inspiring. Very moving, Dan. Thanks for sharing this more personal side. I am addicted to these videos. These transformations are just …. awesome! I think there must be magic in Dan’s scissors! one of my favorite videos was of the young man with the thinning hair. I don’t recall his name. But the shorter hair seemed to draw more attention to his beautiful eyes.
When i saw him i just thought, cut it all over short and you did!! It suited his needs perfectly.
Well done!You were spot on with that cut.You could see his confidence taking a jump up!You never give yourself enough credit.Being on the outside watching these videos allow me to realize what a difference in makes to the people getting amazing cuts. Not all barbers are able to what you are doing.you have a personality that lends confidence and work that proves you can back up what you suggest for each person that sits in your chair.

I think they were alll brilliant but yes the number one was very touching .He was extremely young to loose his hair..I think the shorter style made it less obvious and him being quite fair was in his favour too.I hope the medication helps him,but what you did for him really did that was clear.He went out positive with hope.You do amazing work 🥰

I just love watching this channel. You are what people want from their hairdresser. The consultation is the most important part. And taking the shape of the face, the hair type and how the hair grows to get the best look possible. You are a sculpture, but with hair instead of clay. Amazing video tutorials. Making people look better can really make or break a persons confidence.

Dan the man. I can’t express how much I appreciate your talent. I am an 84 yr old man, with a few strands on top and full sides and back. I have been to hell and back with haircuts, mostly back! I won’t bore you with my history with hair. I am so do for an expert cut, I will take to the guides and scissors tomorrow. Don’t shrike, I have done it for years. But, I see a trip to you to do it right. I wish you another great year of entertaining us all. You keep me up late watching…worth it Dan the man.

Your cutting techniques are incredible. The scissoring is top-notch and you have an eye for your customer's best look. My mom went to school to get her license for barbering in the early 80's and loved it so much that she eventually got her level up to master barber in the early 90's.

Jamie's self confidence was blatamtly at point weary zero when he sat down in the chair . Then from when Dan began giving his opinion and advice ,Jamie began to visibly relax . Ithink he just knew he was in good hands and could trust him . The long top 'pull-over-cover' hair at the beginming looked like a false hair piece about to go AWOL at any minute 😂 At the end , I think that Jamie was truly overjoyed and his self esteem had been boosted beyond his dreams and wishes . I could have hugged him , I felt so happy for him .
