Great learning video, thanks Michael ❤️
Excellent work ! Thank you ! Sometimes I hardly blend from no guard lever open to no #1 guard using the 0.5 guard...
Definitely seeing less fades. Longer hair is becoming more popular. Great video, Thank you
Thanks for watching! I’m am seeing way less fades and hardly any skin fades now.
great haircut!! I have the same kind of growth pattern in the nape of my neck, and I am finding that most lady hairdressers here in America do not know or understand how to cut this type of neckline. thank you so much for posting this video!! USA
My pleasure thank you ☺️
1 minute barber made a 55 min hair cutting video 💀
And i love it
I like to over deliver
Hello! Loving your channel from across the pond! Perhaps you would consider do some tutorials on short women’s haircuts as well? As a queer gal who cuts their own hair I would love this content. Any tips on self cuts for medium length short hair with a boyish feminine twist would be loved by at least me! Thanks! Learning so much.
To be honest pretty much all the cuts on here could be applied to a man or woman, the trick to making a more feminine appearance is to soften the edges, but with this cut on a tomboy I'd probably go with the sharp edges, I think it would look really good
Thank you!
You're welcome!☺️
Good morning 👋 it's our winter, cold and wet in Dunedin, New Zealand.
Aka 'Edinburgh of the South'.
I'm now ready to use those clippers 🫣 with confidence 🤭 Cheers.
Glad it helped, I bet you get some nice summers there too, one day we are hopefully going to visit New Zealand
The weather is pretty good from November-January. New Zealand has some amazing sightseeing destinations, great walking tracks if your into hiking, or hire a R.V explore the countryside. Depending on what you want too do,the options are plenty in whatever city you pick.😊
Thank you Michael. Great content as always.
My pleasure Joe
Love yout video, thank you
Thank you too!
I live in the Southern USA, we have an A/c running all day, otherwise it would be unbearable.
Thanks for the video. I look forward to the shorter version of the same haircut but I learned something new from this one too even though I skipped some parts. I am a mom of 4 so I only watch short videos or watch long ones on mute at night before bed.
I have a useless aircon unit in the shop, literally takes the temperature down by 1 degree. I am not sure if you have seen this video, it is very similar but a much shorter version.th-cam.com/video/kA2IWr8p7kg/w-d-xo.html
Good job king 👑
Thank you
Love the tutorials! Would love to see some varied styles besides the curtain look. Flat top, clipper over comb, short sides and back, Ivy League, pompadour Elvis look, etc, to develop skills for other looks. Also do you ever use a thinning shears?- would be great to see some tips for how to use that tool. Have been barbering just for my teen sons for the last 4 years and I’m getting better.
This is the first time I’ve heard you give the tip on seeing where the hair will lay when flat, when doing the scissor over comb on the side. Nice tip that made that technique click for me!
Thank you for all the feedback, these are all useful suggestions and I have long planned to make a pros and cons video for the thinning scissor. Flat tops are unlikely at the moment as I don't have any clients asking for them. However I will have a lot of variations on these longer styles on top as the demand is high.
I don’t know, but in Florida where I work I get fades, and longer cuts etc. so it’s not just one style. We get lots of mullets, shags and bobs and pixies. Thanks to these barber videos and and other barbers and stylists I know how to cut men’s hair as a hairstylist. But question when you blow dried his hair why didn’t you use a blow dry spray or something for heat protection?
I rarely use anything like that for two reasons, the first is that my hairdryer is always on the lowest heat setting, And the other is that damage isn't really a concern on mens hair, most will not use hot tools or colour their hair, and even if they do it gets cut pretty much every four weeks. I have seen damaged hair. but not very often.
@@theoneminutebarber oh okay that makes sense. Good point. I didn’t think about that. You can tell im a stylist. Haha
Keren..bisskuu👍
May i know why you used 1.5 guard to blend the line between 1 and 3, instead of number 2 guard?
Most of the time I use the 2. But after I used the 1 and a half I didn’t think it needed the extra step. Do you ever get that?
@@theoneminutebarber Thanks! I'm still learning (on my own hair) I still having difficulty making it smooth even with all the guards. 😅
Hi , my sons have that hairline. May I ask the guard # between the 3 and 1.5
Yes the guard number is the 1.5 guard number. It looks like a short stumpy guard. It’s the same length as the # with the lever down. You can also make life easier with a #2
❤❤❤
❤
Hottest bear ive ever seen dangg
Do your clippers ever get hot?
Yes they do. I use clippercide a lot which keeps them cool
Do you teach online course for barber? where can I find the link to learn
Hey yes I do teach a course. here is a link to the page. michael-holm-s-school.teachable.com/p/barbering-from-beginner-to-intermediate-step-by-step
@@theoneminutebarber thank you 🙏
@@theoneminutebarber what equipment is required, will I need to buy mannequin heads to practice on at home?
You would need a basic barber kit and a mannequin head is worth getting if you can’t find people to practice on
So scissors, comb, clippers, trimmer, gown, water bottle, hairdryer, brushes.
I wish you can make it a little less talk/ explain while you cutting hair like other tutorial clip, because anytime you were talking or explaining you stopped so it takes longer than it should be, I thinh we both, the model and audiences have to be very patient to watch your video. Other than that, very nice job and thank you for sharing!
I understand, this video was from a live stream so I can only do it that way. But I still also have the other types of video where I voice over the content.
why didn't you taperthe burns?
What do you mean?
@theoneminutebarber I think he means the "side burns." That is an American word aka "slang."
The weather is same here in Republic of North Macedonia
Clipper over Comb would of been more efficient for that long taper effect.
Nice haircut otherwise.
I agree that would have also worked really well here, I might steal that idea for the next video
@@theoneminutebarber will definitely save you a lot of time.
