I’m thinking about getting a cat next spring. I started watching your videos because you have a lot of knowledge and are very smart. I’ve never been more exited for a cat and raw feeding ect.. I’m so sorry about your kitty. I lost my best friend two days before Valentine’s Day 6 years ago and it still effects here and there. Love your videos and keep it up man!!! You’re the best!!!

I’m currently about to go through that once again. My husband and I found a 7 week old kitten at the end of our street one night and we took her in. She was a stray and warmed up to us very quickly. She’s only been with us now a couple months but we love her dearly. Just over the last two weeks she’s been getting sick and we’re pretty sure she has FIP. We’re waiting test results but she’s fading quickly and sadly we’re going to have to put her down within the next day or two. It’s not fair, she’s such a sweet baby, all black and so tiny. Being an animal lover it’s always the hardest thing to go through. I just want to thank Jackson for everything he does for the cat loving community. All your advise and information and time is so greatly appreciated and loved.
Just know there are ways to save a animal instead of put it down. My Cat was also very close to and was getting worse every day. I took her to vet Hospital and she recovered. Now she is as healthy as ever. Please dont put pets easily down.... The more I read and see people in the US are very quickly to do that. You dont have to. Please try to save her.

The vet called and said he had a big tumour in his mouth and throat and there’s nothing they could do. We decided to take him home for the weekend and bring him back on Monday. He was given pain relief. Over the weekend he didn’t improve, but on Monday he suddenly started grooming, eating, and moving around the house. He got better very quickly and the lump on the side of his head took about 5 months to heal. He’ll turn 20 around Christmas and he eats like a horse, jumps on my bed, and slowly walks up and down the stairs. He has full purr and meow ability and a bit of sight. His lovely personality hasn’t changed a bit. He’s not skinny either.

We’ve had her to the vet and even the vet told us it would be hard to get ahold of the medications that exists to treat FIP which she most likely has, we’re waiting to hear back on her test result but it’s become a quality of life issue at this point. Even if we had access to the meds it would be thousands of dollars for treatment and not a guarantee they would work and she’s showing symptoms of being towards the end stages of FIP. Trust me if we could treat her we would because we don’t want to loose her but sometimes there just isn’t anything you can do. She’s suffering and we don’t want that for her.
Please do your research. FIP is treatable! For years people have hooked up with Facebook groups to get help and medication. The medication was basically through black market drugs through China. The problem was finding a reputable group. The treatment was legal for years in the UK and Australia. As of June 2024, there is now legal treatment in the US. Stokes Pharmacy is proving the medication. Your vet will need to write a prescription for you to get the meds. If your vet refuses, find a vet in your area who will. I thought this treatment was a hoax when my friend tried to tell me about it, so my 8 month old kitten died of FIP. Fortunately I kept researching and found out that it was a legit treatment. Much of the research was done at UC Veterinary. I also found articles published in veterinary journals. So when my new kitten was diagnosed with FIP, I was ready to act. While my vet was skeptical about the treatment, another vet in the practice was a believer and gave me some groups to contact. Molly had her first dose of medication day 1 after diagnosis. She is closing in on being a 1 year survivor and her vet is now a believer.

She is as the vet now; I don't know if she will make it. I'm very worried but am finding solace in the Cat Cave. One video I haven't seen from cat experts is practical steps on how to find good homes for cats. All say "work with your local shelter", but I live where there is no shelter. I am the only resource. I have so many cats that the slowest one just got mauled by dogs! !

My grandma used to walk 5 miles to get her cat KFC, no lie. It was back in the 70's and she lived in the tiny town of Savanah, IL. She never had a car, she walked everywhere. Unfortunately she fed that poor cat to death. He was over 2o lbs which was so sad, but she loved "kitty", she just had no idea of how to take care of her. She was not a well lady herself mentally so I forgive her. She would have done anything for that cat and I know she walked to kfc daily for Kitty.

When I got a second cat, Buns, Muse became very jealous at first and acted out, though she let me touch her again after a short while. However, she continued to hate Buns for two years. It was only after I was gone for a year that Muse finally warmed up to Buns. But when I brought them back to my house after the California fires, Muse immediately went back to hating Buns and being distant with me. I just want them to get along again and for Muse to stop being so upset. Sorry for the essay.. My first cat, Muse, has always been like a baby to me-practically my child. We’ve always had a loving and trusting relationship, and I used to take her everywhere. But when I got my second kitten, Buns, everything changed. Muse became incredibly jealous. She wouldn’t let me touch her for a long time and absolutely hated the new kitten. At first, she was so furious that she acted feral-she even smacked me in the face (no claws). I remember the way she glared at me, looked away, and then slapped me again. It broke my heart to see her so upset. Cats have so many feelings, and their personalities are bigger than people think. Eventually, Muse and I mended our bond, but she still refused to accept Buns. Even after a year, she couldn’t stand her. Then, in year two, COVID happened. I lost my home and moved in with my grandma, bringing the cats with me. Whenever I left to look for work, even for a few hours, Muse would suffer from severe separation anxiety. It was too much for her, and the long drives-nearly two hours each way-made everything harder. When I eventually moved away, I had to leave the cats behind temporarily. During year three, while I was away and had a baby, something unexpected happened: Muse finally began to warm up to Buns. They became normal, loving kitties. When I visited, they didn’t run up to me, but I let it be, knowing Muse had struggled with separation anxiety before. I still couldn’t bring them to my new home, and I didn’t want to disrupt their bond now that they’d finally grown close. Then, fast forward to the recent California fires. My grandma had to evacuate, and I couldn’t bear the thought of my cats being left in a stranger’s house. I brought them back to my home, but as soon as they arrived, it was like we were back to square one. Muse instantly hated Buns again and started to act distant with me. If you ever come to Michigan I'd love to have you come analyze my two cats. I've been having Meet 'n Treat with them every night and I think it's helping. I know two people who swore up and down they'd never ever get a pet, let alone a pesky cat. Cats randomly walked into their lives by pure chance, one from the street, for the other as a temporary foster they grudgingly accepted and then foster failed. Fast forward, they now say they can't live without at least one feline companion in their lives..
I live in Europe in the Netherlands.The vet prices are doubled over the last 2 years.I cannot effort the vet anymore.I received a bill for 600 euro for a dental cleaning for my cat.Many people have the same issue.I don t know what to do.
I am sorry for your losses, man. I've seen some of the Caroline and the Scarlett videos (new to the channel, here), and understand all too well. Early last year I lost my girl Demona (an absolutely perfect black at that spent sixteen years at my side, through normal life, stress, health crises...). It still hurts, and probably always will. Leaning towards reincarnation as a possblity, my hope is to see her eyes one day out of the eyes of an unfamiliar kitten. It is a good hope and I share it with you.

Hi Jackson! I'm late with this question but I just found out that my cat that I took care of for 5 yrs hasn't eaten in 5 days. I had to move unfortunately and I couldn't take him with me. He's being look after and fed by the homeowners where I used to live. He's a outside cat and age wise I'm guessing he's at least 10 yrs old. He just showed up in the backyard one day and I took care of him for 5 yrs. I got very attached to him ! He's a very smart boy and I miss him so very much. I wanted to take him with me but couldn't. I have another cat who's an inside cat and very quiet. I'm very upset and feel helpless. I know he's probably stressed and misses me. Any advice ?!!

There was a set of emergency meditrions that some peace teams helped with it was a if im non just at risk and couldnt get to make it but help order it. At first, she was so furious that she acted feral-she even smacked me in the face (no claws). I remember the way she glared at me, looked away, and then slapped me again. It broke my heart to see her so upset. Cats have so many feelings, and their personalities are bigger than people think.
Eventually, Muse and I mended our bond, but she still refused to accept Buns. Even after a year, she couldn’t stand her. Then, in year two, COVID happened. I lost my home and moved in with my grandma, bringing the cats with me. Whenever I left to look for work, even for a few hours, Muse would suffer from severe separation anxiety. It was too much for her, and the long drives-nearly two hours each way-made everything harder. When I eventually moved away, I had to leave the cats behind temporarily.
During year three, while I was away and had a baby, something unexpected happened: Muse finally began to warm up to Buns. They became normal, loving kitties. When I visited, they didn’t run up to me, but I let it be, knowing Muse had struggled with separation anxiety before. I still couldn’t bring them to my new home, and I didn’t want to disrupt their bond now that they’d finally grown close.
Then, fast forward to the recent California fires. My grandma had to evacuate, and I couldn’t bear the thought of my cats being left in a stranger’s house. I brought them back to my home, but as soon as they arrived, it was like we were back to square one. Muse instantly hated Buns again and started to act distant with me. Now, Muse hisses and growls whenever Buns even walks by.
I just want them to get along again and for Muse to stop being so upset.

I know two people who swore up and down they'd never ever get a pet, let alone a pesky cat. Cats randomly walked into their lives by pure chance, one from the street, for the other as a temporary foster they grudgingly accepted and then foster failed. Fast forward, they now say they can't live without at least one feline companion in their lives..

I am sorry for your losses, man. I've seen some of the Caroline and the Scarlett videos (new to the channel, here), and understand all too well. Early last year I lost my girl Demona (an absolutely perfect black at that spent sixteen years at my side, through normal life, stress, health crises...). It still hurts, and probably always will. Leaning towards reincarnation as a possblity, my hope is to see her eyes one day out of the eyes of an unfamiliar kitten. It is a good hope and I share it with you.

Hi Jackson! I'm late with this question but I just found out that my cat that I took care of for 5 yrs hasn't eaten in 5 days. I had to move unfortunately and I couldn't take him with me. He's being look after and fed by the homeowners where I used to live. He's a outside cat and age wise I'm guessing he's at least 10 yrs old. He just showed up in the backyard one day and I took care of him for 5 yrs. I got very attached to him ! He's a very smart boy and I miss him so very much. I wanted to take him with me but couldn't. I have another cat who's an inside cat and very quiet. I'm very upset and feel helpless. I know he's probably stressed and misses me. Any advice ?!!

I do have a question for you Jackson...My oldest (8 years-old) cat has started sleeping on my roommate's shoes & under his desk & hasn't done that before. There was a set of emergency meditrions that some peace teams helped with it was a if im non just at risk and couldnt get to make it but help order it.
