Thank you for running through the book. Lot's of negativity around this one, hopefully the Spearhead is fun and I will be picking it up after I'm done with the Christmas box.
I'm so on the fence about Orks. I've just got into AoS at the start of 4th and am loving my Darkoath dudes and dudettes but there's something about being big, green and very mean that sings to me. Great review as always Ash, nice to see people still talking about Spearhead stuff too, it's currently my favourite way to play.
Why do the Ragerz appear in reserves? The ability says just BRUTES do, and it’s not referring to a keyword as other units don’t have their name as a keyword on their scrolls (like the Ardboyz or Megaboss). Brutes and Ragerz both have a BRUTE (not BRUTES like in the ability text) keyword but presumably this is to activate the Megaboss’s ability
The singular an plural form of keywords are the same. So BRUTE and BRUTES are the same keyword. Rule 5.1 in core rules. Might need a faq though since it is kindof unclear since it is both a unit name and a keyword.
@@Saint_PurpleI agree re. needing a FAQ. As far as I can tell, for other factions with this ability in Spearhead, it always uses the name of the unit being set up in reserves, and the warscrolls don’t have the unit name as a keyword so it’s not an issue. Ironjawz seem to be an exception as they’ve added a keyword that also matches the unit name for one of their units, but used it on two scrolls. I still think that it’s only the Brutes being set up in reserves. No other Spearheads use a keyword to define which units are set up later, they all use unit names. Here, the reference to Brutes is in bold but not in Caps like all other keyword references, so it appears to be referring to the unit name, not the keyword BRUTE. The blurb about each of the units in the Spearhead and its role also only refers to the Brutes as being set up later, not the Ragerz
I starting getting into AoS last year. I was leaning towards collecting bonesplitterz when they got cut lol In all seriousness games workshop REALLY shouldn't get into the habit of removing factions...
GW needs to course correct and bring back Bonesplitterz and BoC for that matter. Can’t bring myself to care about the other orc tribes and now my army is invalid in a few months
He was definitely prototyped as one, and when the plan to no longer support them in AoS changed his basic work was definitely repurposed. Look at how large some of his details are and you can see that he was never supposed to be as large as he is.
The laziest book so far with nerfs and making the army worse...... there is only one way to even play now, Zog's renown. And big pigs need to be under 200 points to be worth their weight.
Bonesplitterz are in the book as the armies are still valid in tournaments until June. They'll go into legends status then. If you're going to read off from the book, it helps to enunciate and slow down. Comes across as speed mumbling, which is not ideal.
“Please have Ash concentrate on Spearhead”…… Thank you sir!
Love the variety of content. Thanks for the breakdown!

This is a shout-out to the algorithm...WAAAAAGH!!! 💚
Haven't found my way into 4th Edition yet. Spearhead and Path to Glory look exciting.
Saturday morning reviews!🎉 🎊🥳🤩🫡

I’d like to do kragnos as a beast of chaos
Yes it was leaked by games workshop when they released it as the index

Woo! Looking forward to the Spearhead, I can’t roll 3+ to hit anyways, might as well be 4+ right?
Never tell you the odds!
Enfin la spearhead ironjawzs on va pouvoir jouer les gros

*Orruk Warclans
Omg kragnos was never a boc miniature

Why anyone would buy this utterly lazy 1:1 copypasta of the index that now firmly cements Ironjawz as the worst army in the game is simply beyond me.

They’re not in the book, they’re on the App which is a key difference as they won’t be available to buy or play for the remainder of the edition.
