I think you may have missed it Beard, but a lot of the various bolt guns in the Kill Teams have picked up Lethal while they were away. Nice bit of extra punch there
@ 50:00 the flash gets even get sustained 1 and wouldve done much better, on top of that, the Big Mek also has Blast and gets +2 shots! They are crazy good!
I love this faction matchup. Very fun video! I wish my army looked as beautiful, fletcher is an inspiration. As a dedicated DW player I have a few things to point out: - you can only have up to 4 hellblasters in a fortis killteam - I don't know what exact wargear was taken with spectrus killteams, but you were likely missing out on FNP6+ when fighting with stormboyz - You appeared to roll 6 attacks for the aggressor models grenade launcher without rolling for numeber of attacks? With d6+blast you should have had 6 attacks minimum? - I know you don't care about optimal gear when filming games for entertainment...but your lack of hammers disturbes me.
Yeah this felt like casual deathwatch vs competitive orks in terms of force composition and tactics.I don’t think they had enough deathwatch aggressors to run two indominor teams and for some reason he kept charging the team with one aggressor into combat instead of the team with two? And unless the deathwatch veterans were wiffing at range so they cut it for timeI don’t think he declared the range attacks for them in the last turn? Also, he had a Chaplain in bedded in the deathwatch terminators but he deployed them like an objective holding unit instead of a unit that should’ve been using it re-rolling charges and the plus one the wound the chaplain gave them to be getting stuck in to close combat. But I can entirely understand using the CP to try and save his watch Master, even though it wasn’t a good idea it’s really easy to get invested in your characters like that.
Sadly our Deathwatch collection is limited. Thanks for the catches on rules though! The Orks list was trying to take a mix of units to show off the new detachment rather than outright competitive, although I do think it could be made competitive with some tweaks!
@ oh yeah, I didn’t mean it as like a dig or anything. I thought I had after I posted was thinking “you know people have had a lot more time to consistently play with or have expectations of what different units ork should be able to do? Where as the deathwatch changes so often.” And also, I have shield and bolter deathwatch marines because they’re just fun and they look cool so I really shouldn’t judge.
The Spectrus KT still feels like it would be better as a sniper support unit. The shoot and scoot with the instigator that you can take on one eliminator and the redeploy make them really elusive if they are positioned properly. Precision would've been kinda nasty against this list that hinges on characters giving the ork squads buffs. GGs though, a fun watch as always!
Really enjoyed that battle report. If I may ask, I noticed you haven't posted any AoS or orld world battle reports in a while. I just wondered if you're still playing them?
These DW models look gorgeous and full of flavour and personalisation, sadly I think you're only allowed 4 plasma in Fortis KT It's all very new now, very different but on initial appearance seems the same as before so different things aren't obvious until you deep dive with DW.
Spider rolled hot as 6:53 normal. Beard of dear Beard. The Dw you offered to Gork and Mork was all over the place weird. Perhaps you owe the spider a win?
Same with the taktikal brigade detachment, lol. I afraid I won't be able to play the minis I've ordered for the detachment more than once before it will be left behind
@@tabletoptactics I am getting ready to play in a 50 man crusade in my area and realized this as well. Still helpful for if you need to reposition heavy weapons. Otherwise da boyz iz guna be stelthy like!
For me this is a bit of a weird detachment for the Orks. I would have thought Freebootas would fit more nicely into a more Bad Moons dakka dakka dakka detachment
im aware that this is the first time lawrence has played orks in a long time so no hate to him, but it absolutely pained me to see all those sustained hits go to waste on the flash gitz
The only option I see with the Meganobz is the Killsaw, Power Klaw combo, the twin Killsaws having only 2 attacks is just poor from Games Workshop, but even then it is the second best option. I don't understand why anyone chooses to take either the Kustom Shoota or the Combi Weapons with the Meganobz it just isn't worth it.
killsaw/PK combo is a bit of a waste. Can't fight with both as neither has the extra attack rule. Twin killsaws, while one less attack than the PK can re-roll wound rolls - which with S12, AP3, D2 is good as a can opener (at least until Breaka Boyz start to become more common).
@@jamiehall814 Ah yes, did forget about that rule thank you, have been trying to play more logical and fun these days rather than obeying the rule book. It is a real shame though, I don't see why a Meganob shouldn't be able to fight with two melee weapons if it is equipped with them, being so heavy and all. Same with a Beastboss. In some situations I can understand why a unit may not be able to run double melee weapon combo, when they are as elite as this though, it eludes me.
I wanted to get control of the board quickly in turn 1, hence the aggressive play. This has always been successful with me when using Orks, especially against an army that has redeploy shenanigans like the Deathwatch do :)
Ah yes I think you’re right. I assumed the order increased the BS by 1 rather than adding 1 to hit, so they can stack. This makes the order really only effective on Flashgitz then I think? 🤔
Never call a turn 1 waagh if you arent running warbikes with a wartrike and follow me lads. You need to get the majority of their army within a good advance and charge range to get the most out of the waaagh. Turn 2-3, after that your army is too small for it to matter before that your not close enough to do damage
Always a blast watching Beard and Spider play! Definitely my two favourites.
I can hear the others cry 😥
It's always fun to see Spider play orks. It's so joyusly orky.
Great to see deathwatch on a battle report!!! Thanks guys. (FYI fortis teams get max 4 plasma incinerators)
Came here to say that.
Flash Gitz hit on 4+ as attached Mek can give order for +1 Hit out of reserves and also they have sustained 1 too.
And they could have Lethals with the Ammo Runt.
I think you may have missed it Beard, but a lot of the various bolt guns in the Kill Teams have picked up Lethal while they were away. Nice bit of extra punch there
@15:00 Snikrot has twin-linked, so you could have re-rolled those 1s and 2s
I don't know why but the 'I've dropped my dice Lawrence, it's on the floor!' cracked me up.
It's a disaster Lawrence
Among loads of great tabletop channels on TH-cam you guys are easily my favorite!
So is it just me that I noticed that Oath of Moment wasn't ever really called?
The Ork paint scheme looks great. Awesome BR.
Woohoo finally deathwatch are back. Now all we need is Bard playing the Bridgehead Strike
1:25 I thought there was a max of 4 hellblasters in that kill team? Am I missing something?
You can't get Lootas hitting on 4+, as to-hit modifiers can only go as high as +1 or -1. And Stormboyz come in mobs of 5 or 10.
25:08 "Carry on Wargaming"
Spider's face 😁
😜🕷️
Ohhhhh I've been waiting to see someone else play this! Tried Taktikal Brigade at home and loved it! Let's gooooooo!
Torn loyalties! Deathwatch are my favourite Space marines, but I will never stop rooting for Da Boyz to win.
'Having a propah barney, done em like my dinner!' love you guys man
Love that green that’s used on the orcs!!
Lots of opportunities with the Deathwatch Beard, but I think you may need to mix it up a bit. Need to add a few more units to the Watch.
Ouch that was orly brutal! Great match fellas!

Nice to see Deathwatch holding their own
Love the ork paint job

And yeah, they had shields and bolters, not even shields and swords, their veterans composition intrigues and frightens me
veterans without thunderhammers is heresy

I'm still really new to playing but YIKES! Was it the die rolls, or is the new Ork detachment just that brutal??
Thanks for playing
Had to drop a like after I saw that awesome backflip 🧔👍
anyone knows where you can get that mask with googles 0:18
Woohoo! Deathwatch time baybeee! 😁
Purge the xenos!
Did Beard pick an oath of moment target or mission tactic on turn 2?
Yeahhh deathwatch video al fin like+follow saludos de argentina 🤙

Is it me or does that terrain scream Star Wars Tatooine? In any case, slay the Zenos!
Yeah I think I also spotted some Hoth Style shield generators
can you take 5 Intercessors with plasma incinerators in fortis kill team?
no. 4 max
Seems like these guys enjoy this game
Really enjoyed that battle report. If I may ask, I noticed you haven't posted any AoS or orld world battle reports in a while. I just wondered if you're still playing them?
No AoS planned, but we do have a couple of Old World reports coming in the near future :)

It's all very new now, very different but on initial appearance seems the same as before so different things aren't obvious until you deep dive with DW.
My Deathwatch army was very much build for 8th and 9th edition, so most of my Killteams have illegal compositions for 10th :(
Beards 2 nobz comment made me spit out my cup of tea 😂 completely blindsided with that one
Spider rolled hot as 6:53 normal. Beard of dear Beard.

Same with the taktikal brigade detachment, lol. I afraid I won't be able to play the minis I've ordered for the detachment more than once before it will be left behind
SUSTAIN ON THE FLASHGITZ NNNOOOO!!!!
Also didn’t account for the +1 to hit for the order on the flash gitz or the big mek with SAG
Stormboyz can be taken in squads of 5, they aren't locked to 10 🙂
Did not think you could stack to instances of +1 to hit? Thought you could do +1 ballistic skill and +1 to hit but not two of the same wording.
You’re right, you can’t. I was mistaken as I thought the detachment improved hour BS. So it’s only really effective on things like Flash Gitz :)
@@tabletoptactics I am getting ready to play in a 50 man crusade in my area and realized this as well. Still helpful for if you need to reposition heavy weapons. Otherwise da boyz iz guna be stelthy like!
storm boyz can fall back and charge without the use of a strat and advance
'luv me deathwatch,
'luv me kill teams,

Hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby
For me this is a bit of a weird detachment for the Orks. I would have thought Freebootas would fit more nicely into a more Bad Moons dakka dakka dakka detachment
It's a Blood Axe detachment, it's a combined arms play style not straight up shooting
Let’s go bayBEEE DW VS TB 🔥🔥
AN ABSOLUTE KRUMPIN!

Deathwatch 🎉
Ere we go ere we go ere we go! Waaagh!
im aware that this is the first time lawrence has played orks in a long time so no hate to him, but it absolutely pained me to see all those sustained hits go to waste on the flash gitz
Very rusty with my Green Boyz! I’ll do better next time :)
i mean to be fair it looks like the sustained hits werent needed in the end lol, that was some great rolling
@fuzzyrhino08 Yeah, usually my luck outweighs any mistakes I make 😜
YESSSS
Runtherd is not a character, so no enhancements allowed😉.

Some good krumpin
Spider needs to stop charging T1 like a goober, and learn to stage. And Beard completely missing out lethal hits on a ton of guns. FFS lol

Hum lootas can't shoot at 4+, max 5+
Their weapons have heavy, so if they don't move they are on 5+, and orders in this detachment can give an additional +1
@@matthewcheeseman6453 But the +1 doesn't stack. Dice can only ever be modified by + or - 1 after all effects are considered

Waaaaaaaaagh!
Orks won by over 30 VP. First turn waaagh put immense early pressure and kept DW from primaries. So it was the right call.
We're here for a good time not a tactical time
My thinking was it would be better to control the board early, given Deathwatch’s redeploy abilities :) 🕷️
Always first turn waagh
Exterminatus!!
