Hey Ash, a guy named Gravaillon released a 50 cards mod to play almost all Heroquest quest randomised (15 for the base game and 5 by expansion from memory). That makes the game playable solo/coop without the app. And it works perfectly ! Avaible in english and french !
It’s on my to buy list. On the DM screen it comes with slightly adjusted rules over the 2020 release in keeping with the updated rule book. It’s great that the 4 hero’s are in different poses to the new release sculptures that’s still different to the 4 mythic resculpts. For me, the extra cards will come in handy with certain missions that give you extras or to help with armoury buys. I “love” the top down of the room scatter, it adds to the atmosphere brilliantly.
Thanks for sharing. Good to see the new and improved cover... though I see the demo copy you've got has the old dice colors (the box shows them as white combat dice and red movement dice with white pips)
This will be great to update my original 1989 Heroquest, complete despite played with kids(3 boys) alot, like Ash a single dad, from Heroquest and Space Crusade progressed to Necromunda, WH40k, LoTR (GW), Battletech ...... now all grown and we still game KDM a favourite but still interested in the older games.
@GuerrillaMiniatureGames You said that Zargon can be run by app. For the longevity of the game, I have to ask: Can you also run the Zargon "manually" aka from written rules?
Not from the written rules. But a guy named Gravaillon released a mod of 50 cards to randomise almost all the quests. It works incredibly well ! English and French version.
I was thinking about buying the big box heroquest, but this is way better for me, because i already have a ton of minis from other games. I could already replace the cardboard minis. Not to mention if you buy the expansions especially the small box ones you will have the required amount of them.
This looks great. Question: for the cardboard standees, is the reverse side the back of the creature, or a duplicate of the front of the creature? Thanks!
Perfect product and looking forward to it. Only sad that we'll probably never see the return of Space Crusade.
@5:58 "Sheet 'appen."
This is a very impressive looking product. I like that they cut the cost without hurting the experience.
The game is fun, the cost of this product is fantastic, but for some reason it's the dice tray that just makes me happy.
Great way to leverage my old original set with the new board size and some new quests

Gravaillon on wordpress heroquest-mode-solo
Just google it with Gravaillon heroquest mode solo. It's on wordpress.

@ 7:03 the wizard picks, then elf picks, the wizard gets the remaining 2. You don't discard the last one.
Yeah, I was confused too. In Dungeon saga origins the mage only gets 2.
going to get this, even though i have everything from heroquest so far, worth it for the minis and the 11 quests.
The boot is supposed to be back on the board for First Light as well.

£38 on UK Amazon and available to preorder. Very tempting, I never played Hero Quest in my life and have a nephew who might enjoy it
It’s tremendous.
Amazing! This feels like a must-buy!

First view of First Light. Nice!
Roll to move, like God intended!
I'll likely pick one up for my nephew and one for myself. This is to good to pass up.

Truly dread, mon.
Brode Sode!

Can we get a play through of this game set, please? 🙏
Heroquest!!!
I take it that this will not be available in the states until later next year?
Apparently some time in May 2025. 👍
I wish Habro would make the gender swapped heroes available that were exclusive to the crowdfunding campaign
All the new hero expansions have an alternate figure so I’m sure they will eventually
