You don't need to buy herbs that were poached off of native lands or have the biggest collection of gemstones (which, depending on where you got them could be fakes, chemically treated or unetchically sourced, like you said). Colored glass can work just as well to represent gemstones as long as you infuse the intention, grocery store herbs or herbs you grow at home can work just as well, maybe even better than plants associated with a closed practice you probably aren't part of (like how smudging is specific to certain Native American cultures). The tools are secondary and are really just meant to help focus the intention and energy, they aren't required and they don't make the magick, you do.

Magick is in literally everything, and everyone, so yes. Anyone can become a witch. It's a practice, not a bloodline talent, this isn't Harry Potter, there's not, "pureblood witches." A heritage witch is someone whose practices and traditions have been taught by their family, parent to child, or grandparent to grandchild, so-on, for generations. It's family history, not genetics. Now, I do believe there are some people who spiritually are more pre-disposed to being a witch, when I personally say I was, "born a witch," it's not because it's an ancestral bloodline thing, and it certainly wasn't taught to me by my mother's Catholic family or my father's Baptist family. I say that because feel that, "witch," is part of my spiritual identity, it's part of what I was made for, part of what I'm meant to do, "witch," is part of the way I was designed by the divine. I think, those of us who have felt pulled and called to witchcraft and magick and mythology and mysticism have this in common, being a witch is part of who we are, or at least who we're meant to be. We still have to practice and learn and work at it. Just because we have a certain connection to witchcraft, doesn't mean we don't have to work at it as much as any other practitioner. Magickal practice is mostly study, gathering knowledge and trying things, very little of it relies on pure talent. But, that's just my interpretation of my journey and what brought me to the practice to begin learning and calling myself a witch. Witchcraft means something different to everyone. For some people it's part of a spirituality, for others it's manipulating physical energy with the mind, for others it's a placebo that encourages mindfulness. Whatever witchcraft means to you though, being a witch isn't in your blood. It's just in you and in your connection to whatever witchcraft provides for your life.

ALSOS CRAZY this is the only video i could find to prove this video existed and it wasn't a fever dream im making up.
Summary I took away from this: Don't be anything you see in this video (The one you reviewed). Never go by one result alone; research, research, research, and then you research that research. Study and do your homework on your research, continue and repeat. Been doing Witchcraft for years and this is how I began actually, and it's how I explained it to my niece who took interest in learning, she's been a Witch for three years now and it has been pretty nice teaching her what I know but also myself learning from her perspective. (She's a Green Witch and I'm a Hearth Witch.)
