  • @naturesepyon
    @naturesepyon หลายเดือนก่อน +6

    The cards aren't graded or authenticated, just the signature is. This is completely independent from what it's being signed on, anything can be autographed by PSA's standards.
    Is this a good policy or procedure for the company?
    Maybe, maybe not, obviously there are some people who may try to mislead with this subtle detail. But the indicator is on the label.
    However from a business point of view they're making the door wider for autos to be authenticated by accepting any parchment as acceptable.
    Could labels have a better indication of this, I mean sure, but myself as a collector understand it well enough in its current capacity.
    When a label says "trading card", it may as well say piece of paper, inauthentic, fake, etc. This is generally well known by collectors and people in the hobby.
    At the end of the day, PSA is a private business and they'll decide how they wish to conduct business. Their goal and objective is to make money. That's the bottom line. Authenticating autographs on anything and everything maximizes the number of autographs they'll be able to authenticate & make money from.
    Consumers influence business practices with their wallets. If the practice isn't good, competition should be able to supercede by offering better service.
