I get full-body chills every single time that cue kicks in. Even without the movie sound effects here, I can still hear the gaping, haunting winds blasting in as Anakin enters the Chancellor's office...

@@VinVonVoom i mean soundtrack wise TLJ does beat TPM, TLJ may not be the best Star Wars movie but the soundtrack is amazing, although TPM does still have a good soundtrack, it doesnt have the range of the TLJ soundtrack, while TLJ has all sorts of feel in its soundtrack (tragic, happy, sinister, epic, melancholic etc), TPM is mostly just focused on being big and bombastic for the most part (with only a few other ranges in its soundtrack), which isnt bad but compared to the soundtrack of TLJ, its inferior

It's got the most effective use of Gustav Holst in any soundtrack IMO. I legit can't think of any good tracks in TLJ, they all sound really similar to me. They've got this weird filter-y supressed sound and always use the same instruments. Just listen to the praetorian guard fight and Luke vs Ben. It's still leagues better than TROS and TFA's soundtrack but nobody slings a composer like George. The comment about the soundtrack getting worse during Coruscant is also silly, that's probably my favourite part. There's so many good tracks there. I'd put TPM's soundtrack above AOTC easily, even as someone who's favourite film is AOTC (laugh it up, fuzzball).

at 5:12 you can hear some of anakin and padme's love theme, but then at 5:19 it changes and sounds so empty and ominous, like the exact point of no return for anakin

actually there is a long silence once Anakin enters the room until Palpatine talks to him while he kneels. It increases the raw feeling of the scene
