i remember walking in those places back in 1987 without this music of course.. i DO remember the hit song from that era "walk like an Egyptian" when i was walking with the crew of our river cruise ship to some restaurant/bar deep in the city and i was the only foreigner for miles. Oh to return there with an iPhone and good headphones.

The emotion i'm experiencing when listening to this incredible piece in Russian would sound like "предвосхищение открытия". In English it would be something close to "anticipation of discovery", though "anticipation" is not exactly the same, more like anticipation + expected admiration. It's something so hard to describe, almost child-like emotion that almost brings tears to my eyes.
