an important thing to note is that when you deconstruct something you get all the materials back for it, so you can deconstruct the bed and make the agility boots
Big Josher here's a few tips:
When exploring you can quickly construct a living compartment to fully refill your oxygen.
Remember you can deconstruct things so deconstruct your bed to get the fabric back for agility shoes. Also deconstruct chests once you've looted them to make life easier.
I believe you can equip the space chip you got in the same way you equip your backpack and other tools
As you've figured you need to go ham on making heaters, vegetubes, etc. make sure you have a vegetube for every seed! Would recommend greatly ramping up production in all areas.
Meteor showers occur to help refill resources on the ground.

Another very important tip:
Deconstruct your entire base and rebuild it on top of the hill. During the process of the terraforming, the valley that your base is currently in will get completely flooded and your base will be pretty much unusable.

I was wondering about deconstructing crates.
A hot tip for early progression is to build small bases around the planet. Power is global and living compartments creates oxygen themselves. So when you're out exploring you can drop by those bases and refill.
Ok I thought that was a smart idea too and kinda common sense but guess not too common sense since Josh is trying to build himself a mansion

This game is great. Good to watch you play it. A few tips, move your base to higher ground straight away and always take lots of oxygen when you go searching the wrecks

Temu version of no man sky. Its got some subnautica sprinkled. Mainly just the initial landing and running back to it.

You should play no mans sky instead, same concept but 100 times better
Quit over eating. Space food always gives you 40% of the total bar, so eat when you’re below 50% so you don’t overflow and waste.

The confusion with no heat when you haven't yet made a heater 49 minutes in is jarring. I've never played the game. But, it's obvious you need a heater to generate the heat.
