    I used your video to help fix the dishwasher 5 months ago and again today. I’m going to put a junction in the drain pipe to make it easier to unblock that valve. Due to the lockdown if I hadn’t been able to fix it, we’d’ve been hand washing for a few weeks - so thanks again.

    I replaced the drain pump in my LG 2 years ago after an OE (technically I think DE) error. The same code happened this morning and I thought, no way is the pump gone again this soon. Ended up finding your video, did the old suck-a-roo and its now draining. Hopefully it lasts and cleaning of the air chamber where the drain hose siphons through isn't needed. Thank you.

    Legend. This just worked for me. I thought the mouth on the drain pipe was a bit ewwww but I thought, heck, if that works im totally doing it.

    This seemed to work a charm for me! What’s the long term solution to this incase it happens again? Dishwater liquid in the mouth isn’t the best way to spend sunday

      I was watching a guy called “Sandrammer” doing a discussion on processes and his time in the navy. He spoke of the “how to wash dishes” procedure, and first step was to scrape all particulates off the dishes prior to washing them. I’m guessing the peppercorn I found in mine would not have had a chance to get stuck had I scraped the solids off first into my worm bucket :-)

    My dishwasher is still an old mechanically-timed unit but I've had it apart for various reasons. Interesting that a simple peppercorn can hang it up to the point of throwing a fault code, but I guess any dishwasher could be at risk of that issue.

      yeah the siphon just didnt want to start without that back-pressure of the valve to help it get moving. crazy hey!

    Can you use a shop vac instead?

    • @JBFromOZ
      @JBFromOZ  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      main issue would be making sure you dont suck water into the motor, as I am not responsible for your actions, I do hope you take appropriate precautions :-)

      @@JBFromOZ many shop vacs are made to be able to suck water as well.

    I love my wife's cooking but I am not sure how much I'd like it waterlogged and coated in soap.
