    Thank you for your video. A quick check of the spray arm revealed that a piece of plastic was stuck in one of the spray jets. AE code switched off and dishwasher is working now! God bless you!

    My LG dishwasher started displaying the AE code. LG site was of absolute no help what-so-ever. Watching your helpful video, 2:59 min in and I dried up the float pool and wa-la it was fixed. I really appreciate your insight and video showing these items to troubleshoot. Very, very helpful. I'm a superman to my wife! - Mike

    Mine has the exact same issue. Thank you! I originally thought the water was hitting the wall from the nozzles at the end of the spray arm. After watching your video, I realized the leak was actually coming from the center of the arm. I used some super glue and tightened the arm with a new screw to close the gap, as I didn’t want to replace the entire unit for an older dishwasher. So far, no more leaks. Honestly, the lower spray arm should have been recalled. I'm glad I didn’t toss it out last winter.

    Thank you for taking the time to document this in such a detailed way.
    I especially like your explanation on how the leak is detected.
    Keep them comming!

    Thank you for this video. Took me some time to find the problem. It was the flow switch for me! Accidentally got some water down there while cleaning the inside of the dishwasher. She’s all fixed now! Thanks again!

    Thank you for the video. After replacing a few parts which I thought created the issue you nailed it in this video as I had the same issue with the lower spray arm. Once I replaced it my problem was solved. Thanks again.

    Thanks so much for your video. I got the AE code and saw that the drain hose was leaking right where it connects to the drain pump at the bottom of the unit in the front. I was able to get a replacement hose and fixed it. No AE code any more.

    Awesome video, this was exactly the issue with my LG dishwasher. I like the vid of the cycle at around the 6:45 mark. That vid plus the sudden weird noise I was hearing helped to solve the problem!

    Thank you so much for the information. I have been seeing a few drops on the floor in front of the machine. I'm going to try watching the water control arm to see if that is the problem. If not, I'll check the other items shown also, but I've never had an AE error code.

    Very thorough video. Did you use a GoPro camera to view the split wash arm? Sometimes if a person put a pan or some other kitchen device in the bottom rack angled wrongly, it can cause a ricochet from the wash arm and create a unnatural wave action in the bottom of tub with the same results you found with the split wash arm. Again, very good video. Dishwashers these days have so many devices on them making it a very busy diagnosis

    Ok this worked. I took out the unit and turned it upside down shook it a bit and reinstalled I'm sure the float was stuck in a error position. Been fine ever since.

      Dry out the pan on the bottom, then try. You will need to unplug and plug the unit back in.

      @@VaporheadATC there was never any water, moisture in the pan. I took the unit out turned it upside down gave it a little bump then reinstalled it. Works fine now . I think the float on the safety switch was stuck for some reason

    Had the code come up. Checked the pan underneath. Only slight moisture in pan. Left kickplate off overnight and let fan blow into the area. Today flipped breaker and code is still popping up.

    • @ShareTheRepair
      @ShareTheRepair  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Inspected the float sensor area and see if anything got stuck underneath the float sensor (things can easily get stuck under there as the water level rises) as well as the float sensor itself. Test the float sensor for proper operation. All in all if you have seen water in the drain pan underneath the dishwasher, more then likely sensor itself is okay and you do have an actual leak somewhere.

    How would I be able to know it the spray arm is malfunctioning in my LG? I would have to run it while it was open? Thanks!

    • @ShareTheRepair
      @ShareTheRepair  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jessica Theiss
      To be 100% certain, yes. You have to run the dishwasher while the front panel and the vent/fan assembly is disassembled so you can see inside the unit while it runs. But you can try to take the lower spray arm out of the unit and see if you are able to see any kind of a split at the seam where the spray arm is glued together. Gently pull apart at the seam to see if a crack becomes visible. If you can not find any splits or cracks, your lower spray at is probably okay but again if you want to be 100% certain, you have to be able to see it as it’s working. Maybe stick a waterproof camera or phone in there and take a video.

    Will water near the float sensor naturally dry out after some time?

    • @ShareTheRepair
      @ShareTheRepair  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Eventually, yes. But that could take a couple of days if not a week due to the styrofoam float trapping the water.

    Great video for LDF7774ST model. It is important to observe the top center screws around the latch are not be removed in this model.
    I have a question about the screws (circled) at the bottom around 1 minute 35 seconds mark of the video. Should I remove the projected nut or the screw adjacent to it? The yellow circle is around the projected nut. I want to make sure I remove the correct one. What tool and size I have to use to remove it?

    • @ShareTheRepair
      @ShareTheRepair  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello there. There is no nuts located on the bottom secure points of the dishwasher door. That is a Phillips head screw on both sides of the door. So using a Phillips head screwdriver will release that screw. Hope this answers your question.
