Early lotus cortina's had aluminum panels. By 1964 standard cortina bodies were used. Being a 65 it would be the latter, so the reshell would be less relevant to it's provenance.
The owner made 2 films. The first was World Safari. Mainly about the Daf journey through the Sahari. Then he did World Safari 2 which was mainly about sailing the Pacific. Both great films and available.

A daf car was driven from Cape town to the factory in Holland. All through the Sahara.
