I loved your comments about owning several mouthpieces and the comparison with guitarist having so many guitars and pedals. I play the tenor Giant, DV CHI, Jet, and Dark Custom HR and love all of them for different reasons. I play a Cannonball sax with the traditional and fat neck, so that gives me even more options. It’s a blast to own such amazing mouthpieces and have fun finding the perfect sound.
Jay says don't pay much attention to the material your saxophone is made of. He plays a Yani AWO33 which is the best saxophone in the WORLD, "for him"? I love this guy.
Ciao !i have mouth piece tenor yanagisawa 8 ,,the power ring gold tenor is good is ok from my mouth piece tenor yanagisawa 8 ???? THANK YOU SO MUCH !CIAO !
What I noticed also about Jay's soprano tone was that it was not "nasally" or "snake charmer like" either, instead it was a very clear tone. Go Jody! Go Jay! Go Yanagisawa!
I own a HR* for my Soprano (love it) and awaiting the Custom Dark on trial order for my sop/tenor/alto. Should be here by this weekend and can’t wait to try on all my horns.
Time and again, that, soprano custom dark stands out to me so much! Even against the HR* ! Thanks Jody, Jay and Daniel! Great work as always!
Thank you Aaron, so glad you’re liking the HR* CUSTOM DARK Soprano

Thanks so much Jim. Jay is a great player and the HR* CUSTOM DARK Soprano mouthpiece has a very rich and lush sound too!
Jody,
You know I have my HR* and DV for my alto. I am considering the Custom Dark, but you told me to try the NY DV also since I like my DV so much.

My stock mouthpiece is an assault on the ears
Can’t wait to try one of these mouth pieces
Hey Chris, hope you’ll get to try one soon!
@@jodyjazzofficial trying one out on Saturday at Presto Music here in Adelaide
Wow a sop that doesn’t have that biting tone and on a bent soprano
Yeah!
