Wow, the boss (Eli) will be stoked when he sees this :o) It's always a pleasure working with you, thanks for all you do! Merry Christmas to you and the family!
I find that greasing some components may not be the answer, and instead I use silicone spray or graphite lube or even a little motor oil. Now if the temperature is not -30 celsius then grease works good. At certain colder temps that grease turns into concrete. I used grease on the shifting linkage on an older combine, and when I went to move it in the winter, I couldn't get the shifter rod to move up or down from neutral. I had to wash off all the grease using heat and a rag then just using a skim of motor oil and never had a problem since. This was a combine converted to push snow with a 12 foot snow blade. Merry Christmas to you and your Family. Keep the videos coming.
You got it Viking here at Eliminator Performance in Canada we use low temperature grease specifically because of your reasoning. Doesnt matter what grease you use if temperatures dont go sub zero. We have even seen shifter hex shafts on snowblowers that had Nickel Antiseize that created shifting issues during extre,e cold weather.
We live near water I can’t recall if we have ever had -Temps with wind but we have gotten down to 3F with Zero issues. Once we are out Doing snow removal we never check temps as it helps with mental battle as the hours pass and at times conditions worsen. Lucas Red N Tacky is low temp (don’t ask me how low bc I don’t know) prior to that I was using Valvoline Grease (blue) it’s the same stuff we run in all our vehicles and machines with zero issues. I really do believe to a certain extent grease doesn’t matter. People have told me they use Marine Grease with great success. I have yet to try it bc we don’t own a boat yet 🤣
Merry Christmas to the both of you at Pattay's and Jason you should apologise to Mrs. P. i would think she only orders the part number she was given by the technician or the supplier made the mistake of shipping the proper gear. At EP we always use a silicone and oil degreaser to wipe down the friction wheel and drive plate prior to closing up the access panel.
@@waynestefinashen239 lol she did everything right…I was talking to Jake behind the scenes about this one. It just seems you can’t order this bendix gear new anymore. Great tip! Do you guys also “rough” up drive plate? The local repair shop to me that closed believed in roughing it up so the friction wheel has a better bite.
@@moochythecat3435, So it’s nice high end cars or people who had their Cat stolen. Cat theft in our state is rampant due to the value of them and if caught no punishment. Access of battery powered tools…cutting off a cat takes seconds unfortunately.

Why are there always cars with no mufflers racing around on every TH-cam video?
