It’s a shame the newer batches don’t seem to be as good as these older ones :(

I love my Vader batch but there are less than 200 bottles produced, how can it be a whiskey of the year with it being so limited? It’s unlike any of my other cigar blends that I have, it’s a freaking amazing batch.

I found a batch 58 by my office in Midtown Manhattan by complete accident. I am so glad I just bought as soon as I found it. I would love to see this compete for bourbon of the year. The batches are small, so, it’s rare to see it head to head with other hitters.

Nice, would love to sample this. Can't imagine finding it in the NY stores. Maybe a pour somewhere, some day.........I wonder if it goes well with the other type of 'cigar'? hmmmm. And the heavy breathing at the end of the bottle pan was gold! 😤

I've been lookin for a bottle of this for months, any batch, but I refuse to pay secondary price. I found a liquor store in Texas today that had 2 bottle for just a few bucks over retail price, I don't know what batch, I really dont care, so needless to say I bought both. They'll look great on the top shelf next to the Murray Hill.

Honey coated dates? Now that is a very specific and rare flavor to pull out. Is there anything you haven't eaten? I want you to work in rum soaked fig newtons sometime. Lol. Great review as usual. Your B roll sets you apart.

BATCH #69, 129.72 Proof, aka “TEN LORDS A-LEAPING”
On the tenth day of Christmas, the Leapin’ Lords are not about to be undone by the rough and rowdy batch #68, aka “Nine Ladies Dancing.” In this batch we find an old and deep vintage Armagnac barrel influence, with dark dried fruit notes of Medjool dates, black Mission figs, grilled peaches, plump dark raisins, and black currants, together with “rancio” old nutty notes of strong and tangy blue vein cheeses such as French Roquefort and English Stilton, wintergreen mint candy, and dark pumpernickel rye. Rich notes of classic Italian Panettone bread, dried Mesquite bush, Peppermint Patties, and mint simple syrup fill the palate. Waves of candy cane, blue-veined cheese, and buttery cinnamon toast with real maple syrup trickle down the gullet. A true gentleman’s dram!

I understand it probably tastes great but I just can’t justify spending that kind of money on a bottle of bourbon from a company that doesn’t actually make the bourbon it’s selling in the bottle.

Well the art is in the amount of finishes and blends. It still had to be managed and blended. If you overlook them just for sourcing then that most producers these days
